February 1, 2021 at 7:20 pm LinkJust watched the “baby” channel review, Steve…. like you said that new Argus is built tough, like my .22 Matador R5M, but Wondering what the accuracy of the Nielsen or FX Hybrid slugs would be in the high 700’s or low 800 FPS’s? I like to adjust an 18.13 gr for about 890-900 FPS….but don’t want to keep adjusting every time I try something new…. so am curious how the Argus 60 would handle the slugs without further adjustment. Thanks.

February 2, 2021 at 5:24 am LinkEvery now and then I see an airgun that I know is right for me and this is one of them. I think it's the 2X4 lookin' barrel shroud that makes it look so beefy and rugged that lets me know it'll live through the hunting I intend to do with it. I tend to break things. I need a 2X4 gun that'll last.

February 2, 2021 at 8:46 am LinkThere are various models of this air gun. Some do have the new side lever and also have a visible adjustment knob at the rear so you can adjust the hammer spring without taking the stock off. That would be a simple situation of controlling the power for various pellets or slugs. I have watched this air gun for years, I never did buy one due to the cocking lever being so far back. I am also a lefty and do like a right hand cocking lever as my hand never has to leave the grip. I may consider this air gun again now that they have moved the cocking lever forward . This air gun has always been super accurate. I would put it in the top three in the world for accuracy as demonstrations of its accuracy have been around for years.
Cheers

February 2, 2021 at 6:44 pm LinkSteve you have one of the most informational packed air rifle channels I’ve ever come across. I was about to pull the trigger on a veteran but now you have me second guessing myself once again.

February 3, 2021 at 4:27 am LinkLong time shooter off and on like most people I started off with a daisy BB gun, lived on a small farm so had plenty of opportunity to hunt most of it with a shotgun and my dog, graduated high school, soon realize all of the pleasures of being a kid were gone including my hunting as of late I acquired a Gamo swarm out of necessity I was having a severe rap problem and the rats are real smart I only caught two with traps and they persisted so I got a Gamo and after 2 weeks my rap problem was solved they were still there but they didn't visit my vicinity. I traded the Gamo for a mountain bike, that brief time of shooting with it my whistle and would like to continue. There's one thing I didn't understand when Steve mentioned he always senders his scope can somebody tell me what that technique means.
