Good one Steve! Thanks for showing us groups with factory settings. I like seeing the 25 grain pellets perform well because you can get so many more shots at 45 ft lb then the 34 grain at 60 ft lb.

One thing that's detracting from your professional videos is your "shoot ready" weight. Your review is on the FX Impact X. You said it weighs 8.7 lbs "as you see it here ". Well I'm here to tell you that you'll never see gun manufacturers including ammo, optics, rings, recording gear, 3rd party silencers or accessories in their weight. Why, because that's NOT what they're selling and there's NO "standard". My lightest tactical scope with built in mount would only bump up the Impacts weight by 0.9 pounds, my long-range scope with all the fixins weighs about 3.5 pounds. So MY Impact could weigh anywhere between 7.2 pounds - 9.8 pounds. According to Utah Airguns site (which is real nice BTW) the Impact X you've shown weighs 6.3 pounds.

You make sublime videos, but I hate the "shoot ready" bit. Just tell me how much the damn gun weighs and I'll choose my accessories!

That's why I include it, cuz they don't. I'm not of much use to you guys if all I'm gonna do is repeat what you can read somewhere else. In doing it my way, I'm adding a layer of value above that of which you can gather on your own. I've never included an aftermarket moderator in the shoot ready weight by the way... it's always measured as described... gun, air, appropriate sized scope, mounts, and lead.

I agree. In this price point it would make good sense for them to either sort or source better gauges. Maybe there's a good reason they don't and they'll chime in here. I'm sure they'll be reading through this thread. Best, Steve

Is it true that labradar is struggling with tracking small pellets? only good for large calibers otherwise you get only muzzle velocity readback and others are unreliable?

Hi Steve, does this fx impact x 25 barrel is interchangeable to 30 or 35 cal barrel? I wasn't sure from the video above but seems like it is.

.30 is the max for FX. They do not have bigger calibers.

Excellent video as always Steve. You commented that the liner o-rings would reduce sound, but shouldn't hurt accuracy. From the looks of the groups, I'd have to agree with the accuracy part. Has FX ever officially commented on the use of the o-rings? My original liner had 3, but the slug liner came with 2.

Not that I know of but when I asked them about the o rings, they said as I shared... they can help improve the quality of sound but you'll want to experiment to see if they help accuracy. I shot without them for the Crown, MK2, and Impact reviews and don't use em' otherwise. Best, Steve

I think my favorite is still the Wildcat. Everyone's needs are different though and these guns all do something well the other doesn't, if that makes sense? Steve

Just a note to say that I am using the 600 mm X barrel (A) upgrade with MKII set to 140-145 bar for a speed of 900 fps with my Gen. 1 Impact. I am getting my best groups so far with this set up and tune. Chuck, was it you who had posted shooing the MKII's at 900+ psi? It was someone which prompted me to try that speed and it has paid off. I consistently shoot 1.2" groups at 100 yd and the other day got one group just under an inch at 105 yds. Of course it does eat more air but a worthwhile trade off.

I wish I had known about the B barrel before buying the A but that's what happens I guess. I'd be interested in seeing comparisons between the A and B barrels as well as the 600 and 700 mm lengths with MKII.

Great video, but I am in love with the wildcat so you got my attention with your comment: " FX will soon be sending the latest Wildcat with the 700mm barrel and externally adjustable regulator"

I have searched "the mother of all truths" aka the internet, but cannot find anything related to an upcoming Wildcat with the mentioned adjustable regulator.... I am all in for .25 wildcat with a regulator that can be adjusted.

I had the Jones for one of these real bad, but after all the issues that have come up with them, I changed my mind. 2K for an airgun that is GOING to give you trouble is way too much. I guess I'm lucky, I have never had an issue with any of my guns. I hope that everyone that that buys one has good luck with them.

There several photographs of it in my late EBR vid and FX was talking about it on Facebook around the same time
