AEAC Video - FX Wildcat Compact .25 - FULL REVIEW

Nice...aĀ compact, powerful, and quiet performer! Can anyone say sub-moaĀ šŸ˜œ Curious to here from Steve if the wind (or lack-there-of) played a role in the 100y group,Ā or if the Wildcat Compact is reallyĀ that good.

As he mentioned - if you live in Brasil, and are in the market for an airgun, check out our buddy Marcos of MPLA AirgunsĀ

Otherwise you can find one at Pyramyd AirĀ and/or many of other fine sponsors.

Another great review. Your technique, video quality and sound just keep getting better and better. You did mention about the mags having an issue when indexed tooĀ fast, but kinda glossed over that. Iā€™d like to hear more about that in order to maintain your objectivity for us that really count on your reviews. Thanks Steve.

It's nice that a barrel that short can be that accurate at 50 and 100 yards.

As far as barrel length versus accuracy, thatā€™s yetĀ anotherĀ misconception about rifles in general. Itā€™s been scientifically proven time and time again that length has nothing to do with accuracy... ;)

For sure helped. I'm sure ya noticed that when it come up from 0 to 1.5 mph, that 5th shot drifted the group from .51" to .82" šŸ˜‰

ItĀ wasn't ever a factor in my testingĀ so gave it the appropriate amount of attention. The cycling speed shown in the vid's "speed/maneuverability test" didn't cause it, but if ya cycled it "speed silhouette" fast, as mentioned, the mags momentum will over carry it.

Can someone enlighten me,

Steve mentions 31" andĀ 33" for the standard .25 wildcat, was the MK1 .25 not 36"?.

Is the new REG truly adjustable, IE can it be turned down to shoot 16 grain GTOs at 700fps for close range barn work (ratting), and they turned up again to clout rabbits at 100m , without screwing the REG (rifle) up.

honest questions,Ā thanks.

Thanks Steve. I only mentioned it because I saw numerous olderĀ Wildcats in EBR Speed Silo and RMAC Speed Challenge. I guess this version of Wildcat wouldnā€™t be good for that sort of competition....

I think the speed silo guys always modded theirs. There's an o-ring mod I've heard of that stops the over-rev so to speak. Steve

Yes. This has the AMP Regulator, same as the Impact and Crown. It's fully adjustable from the outside.
