AEAC Video - FX Impact X Master Tuning & Barrel Guide

Steve,

You mentioned that for $399.99 the barrel kit comes with a magazine. Everywhere that I have looked states the barrel kit comes with just the barrel, shroud, and probe omitting the inclusion of a magazine.

Could you confirm that the barrel kit comes with a magazine? If we have to purchase the magazine separately, that will surely impact the price to change calibers.

Great video by the way. Very much appreciated.

Thanks

Outstanding video as usual Steve.
Question: I have a Gen 1 .25 cal Impact with an X barrel upgrade. The Gen 1, with standard ST barrel, calls for 120 bar reg. setting in accordance with FX Trouble shoot manual. You have the Impact X at 135-140 bar. I know that the Impact X has an upgraded regulator and other improvements. What about the Gen 1 with the X barrel "hybrid?" Would the suggested reg. pressure change from 120 bar?

I too have a gen 1 Impact with a .25 Smooth Twist Barrel. The video so far confirmed I'm on the right tuning track. My goal is to obtain a .22 STX barrel, tune and shoot. This video guide will be a fantastic tool!

Steve - thanks for admitting how intimidating a gun like this can be. I love turning the wrenches on my Marauder, but the Impact takes it to a whole new level. The ease of adjustments is incredible and intimidating. I do want to put a few more tins of .25 through it before buying the STX in .22, and so far the gun is operating fantastically.

Oh, and I agree on shooting at lower speeds. When I got the gun, it was shooting over 900 FPS, and not all that accurate. I spent some time on the chronograph and brought the speeds down to about 830 FPS using (JSB .25 Caliber Kings) the power wheel on 2 and the valve knob (I'll have to look and see where it is), and now at 50 yards, 30 shot groups are under 2 inches. Most of the time, the pellet is just going through the same hole. The problem now, is the shooter's shaky hold and style. :) . That needs more work than the gun.

Please keep them coming! I hit the little "Bell" on YouTube so I'll be notified.

Many thanks,

"mrdirect"Hi Steve !
Maybe I missed it (I mean it was almost an hour ), but what are YOUR settings to get 90 shots?
I mean the guns are not all that different, and it is no use for everybody to re-invent the wheel, so could you share your settings?
How much BAR for the regulator, the valve knob on the front how far, etcetera?
Thanks mate!

As I mentioned in the vid, I don't feel like the gauges are very accurate so it's hard o give ya an abc123. It's very much an event of move the lever a little, see what happens, and respond with a little more adjustment AND approach it in the way I shared in the vid. Steve

"Drumsnguns"Outstanding video as usual Steve.

I'm told the reg settings are about the same for the gen1 Impacts but as I said, they're all just guidelines so ya gotta feel your way through it. Steve

Aesome, thanks. The plan is to vlog everything that comes my way before each full review on AEAC Home. Steve

Thanks Steve for that. It help me alot in the tuning process of my impact x. The boring thing for us that lives in sweden is that its not that easy to buy liners and barrels because there ar license on them here in sweden? so even if i live 30 minutes from fx factory i cant just buy the barrels. I really whant to try the slug liner when they have them redy for sale? keep it up. Looking forward to your next video!

Great video Steve and I only had time for half the video but I will watch the rest tonight....I really think this airgun is made for a individual that has a lot of time to spend tweaking. With my limited time I need simple but I guess a owner could just leave the factory settings and shoot it but then why not save a little money and buy a simpler gun.
