AEAC video from "AEAC Home" on the Air Arms TX200 mk3 .177

The TX200 MKII is so under rated by the PCP crowd in my opinion. The PCP crowd claims "It's to much work practicing the proper and consistent Artillery Hold." Yes it is more difficult to be consistent with Springer than a PCP. But that's not to say they won't get the job done if you do your part. As a proud owner of an A.A. TX200 MKIII I can tell you the thrill of shooting a high quality springer is well worth the extra effort. I have just made a commitment to myself to try and get to as many HTF competitions as I can this year. So far I've only shot one and that was the Pyramid Air Cup. What a blast! If anyone knows a good source to find HFT competitions please give a guy a hand. They seem to be hard to find. I'm looking in the Midwest, East Central, and Southern states. Thanks,

Spring guns are a lot of fun to shoot. I have a Beeman HW77K that I bought back in the 80's when they were made in California. It set in the gun cabinet for a number of years,to many PCP's. Last summer I started shooting it again. This summer I had it tuned by John in Pa. Now any black birds within 40 are dead right there. Shooting a spring gun also makes you a better shot with a PCP in my opinion. Mine is a .177 but would like to have one in .22. This video has got me thinking about a TX200mk3.

I have one in .22 and it's been detuned to about 12.5fpe with TBT kit from The UK and it's by far the most accurate and easy to shoot springer I've ever owned..

Great video and great gun Steve!!!

Oh and Bruce JFYI Beeman airguns were never made in California. They were imported from Germany just like they still are today.

Steve, Will you put a Weihrauch HW98 Air Rifle on your list of Must Review Air Rifles? It's a Break Barrel Springer that may be as good as the TX 200 MKIII I've heard. I want to see what your reaction to it is, I respect your opinion since you are so experience with so many different guns, I'm thinking of buying one in .22 for a backup and for use as a GunSlinger Shoot since it should be faster to load than my TX200 MKIII. Thanks.

I am pretty new to airguns, but rapidly developing an addiction... I have been shooting Crossman and Gamo gas rams for a few years, but now I am getting into the more quality spring guns. (I am getting ready to order a Weihruach HW30 as my first quality springer.) I am told that the advantage of under-levers over break barrels for consistency is not as great as it once was, but I still like the design. This looks like a beautiful one! Some day, the TX200 might just be my first quality springer in 22!

@RacineJohn You will absolutely love the Hw30s; I got one as I had lost hope in springers due to their hold sensitivity. This rifle has brought me back to enjoying breakbarrels even more than PCPs. It is such a nice all around rifle; plinking, pesting; close quarters garden work - it does it all c:

+1 Not to high jack the tread (great video review) but the HW30 is an air rifle that should be in any spring piston enthusiasts collection.
