Adaptors for 'screw on' moderators to quiet RAW 1000x .25cal. std and poly

Has anyone out there tried to make there hm1000x std or poly in.25 cal. a little more backyard friendly? There are several threaded moderators that can be used if you get the adaptor or thread your barrel, not something one should do unless he's sure to get the results he's after. Some of these moderators are quite expensive and from what I've researched so far don't seen to be much better than the stock ones. Huggett is a prime example. Many of the reviews say it's a 'little' bit more quiet than stock but it sure looks great. I haven't seen or heard anyone using a Huggett on a RAW gun. Therefore I don't really know how it compares. I'm looking for somethings that I can use at home that will be 'much' more quiet than the stock RAW moderator, then for the field put the 'field' moderator on. In order to make the gun quiet the moderator is most likely going to be pretty big to reduce the report. If an adaptor is used threaded moderators can be changed easily. Right now I'm wondering if it's worth the time, effort and expense. There must be something out there that can quiet these guns without having to lower velocity, etc. If anybody has tried or knows anything I would like to hear from you. Thank you.

Depending on the size of the barrel, maybe one of these adapters from DonnyFL could work.

I have also been wondering how quiet an air rifle can be made by adding moderator and the answer I got from another forum in UK is dead silent leaving only the sound of the action. Is this the consensus here also ? UK may be a bit different due to their 12 fpe limit.

Nothing is "dead silent". Based on my experience with moderators on FAC class rifles, I would guess the 12 fpe rifles could be silenced to around 50 db. And, sound is sound, whether action or air.
