I adapted a STX liner system to my Brocock Bantam HR .22. Why, because I was not happy with accuracy of LW barrel compared to the STX barrels in my Crown and Wildcat. I tried all weights of JSB’s at various regulator and hammer tension settings at every FAC velocity and was getting too many flyers. After I stalling a STX 600mm liner accuracy immediately improved as did velocity because of the longer barrel. Factory barrel I believe was only 430mm so right away velocity increased dramatically with identical settings. I was easily able to push 18.1 JSB Exacts to 970 FPS and higher with better overall accuracy. The best accuracy came when I shotJSB 25.4 Redesigned, at fifty yards it was pellet on pellet and velocity was over 850 FPS. Have a 500 mm liner and a outer liner on the way, and Am anxious to test that as well. Still need to modify a outer shroud and fit up, right now I screwed on a DonnyFL Tatsu to the 1/2”-20 thread on the end of liner and it does a pretty good job. With the Donny gun OAL is 41”

Really nice job you did on the barrel exchange and it shoots great too! I did the same to this Crosman 2240 after the 20 year old barrel, with probly tens of thousands of rounds through it, started not shooting the half inch groups at 50 yards as it once did. But made an adapter and just slid the FX liner into it. I did not use the whole barrel. Then made Delrin doughnuts to keep things straight in the carbon fiber tube. Shoots a single raged hole at 25 yards. Can't find the pics of the barrel werq will add them later if I do. I recently received more Delrin rod so I can shorten the shroud up a bit soon.

Ok all, I now adapted a 500mm X liner to the Brocock Bantam Snioer HR, I set power using the most accurate pellet for the stock barrel, the JSB 25.39 gr redesigned .22. The factory bone stock 430mm LW shoots these pellets @ 805 FPS with Huma Regulator set @ 140 bar and the hammer tension adjusted accordingly. The 500mm STX liner shoots the JSB's @ 830 FPS and The 600mm STX liner shoots them @ 870 FPS. The LW barrel was pretty accurate @ 50 yards easily printing 1/2"- 5/8" groups consistently. However the 600mm STX liner was by far the most accurate with the heavy JSB's printing sub 1/2" groups consistently at 50 yards. I would like to get power up a little more maybe closer to 880-900 or until groups open up. So far I am satisfied with the 600mm STX liner overall performance and am going to shroud this gun the way it is. BTW, the 500mm STX liner did not perform as good as I hoped it would, seems that something is not quite right with this particular barrel, The 500mm STX liner had a totally different POI compared the LW and 600mm STX. and did not group as good no matter what I did ?
