Accurate slugs at 102 yds, 5 shot group

That’s some good shooting Mike! Hard to imagine 1/2 inch at 100 yards. Incredible!

Re. To The Rimfire post guy - Not aware of any competitions between RF and Air Rifles at 100 yards. BUT —- Count me ‘way in’ if anything develops. I have two nice Anschutz BR .22 Rifles that are waiting to compete at 100 yards against any air rifle. I just don’t buy that any Air Rifle can outshoot a great RF at 100 yards. Some can, most can’t.

Light the flames! I know this will wake everyone up! I can almost feel the heat.

Would be a great competition idea though; RF vs. Air gun virtual EBR at 100 yards. Probably not appropriate for AGN, but would be interesting.

Shot again today for a couple hours, mostly 102 yards but also various yardage to confirm my scope dope from 50 to 102. Using Strelok Pro and the RA4 drag coefficient I got it set perfectly. Also shot 3 quick EBR cards with front bipod and no rear bag (used fist). Average about 227-ish. Not bad, wind was easy but swirling again. Didn’t take many pics but this was an average 5 shot target.

Mike, fantastic shooting. I wish I could shoot any time of year as you can, weather is up and down here in CO being December, longing for March but will make due with the handful of days between now and then. My point here is to acknowledge your use of the RA4 drag model. I have also concluded the heightened accuracy in Strelok and JBM Balistics calculations using this model for slugs. Any additional wisdom would be much appreciated.
