accuracy ?

It is a way to show appreciation for a member's comment or post. If you like something that has been said, you click on the green plus sign next to their name and leave a short message to let them know. Generally speaking a person with more accuracy points has been active and helpful in the community. Be aware though that even negative feedback comments result in additional green accuracy points. Sadly we are not immune to folks who prefer to stir the pot rather than season it.

Clicking on a person's name, then reviewing their accuracy points will let you see what others have said about their contributions.

I just left your first positive for curiosity!

Like Lewis said, you can click on your avatar or user name or anyone else's name to see accuracy comments left. It will not show you who gave you the accuracy point and comment unless they type in their name on the comment.

Once upon a time, there use to be red balls (negative accuracy) that you could give someone but it's ancient history now.

My first year I got quite a few,I did not pay much attention to them, now I am in a long term drought, realized there are some posters that are really knowledgeable and explain things in an easy to understand way.Not that many of them....and there are others that give their experience on some topic matters.....you get enough opinions that agree from people that have been around=green balls gives me confidence in their opinion.

So I was thinking,I have not given out enough green balls to people that have "educated" me....just the facts....and helped me with their experiences. For this I apologize, and to think one of my favorite sayings,"To Give is to receive".

I have to agree with your assessment on this topic, I don’t give accuracy as much as I should on here. It’s a nice way to thank someone for giving you information that helped in some form or fashion. With that said, thanks for bringing that to my attention and +1 to you for doing that.

Useless because it doesn't allow negative feedback. Odoyle also had a very high "accuracy" rating...

...if it did I would give you a negative point for saying that...!!!... (grin)

...I will try to remember not to give my passwords to some one because they have a high accuracy score...

...if I were to want a really high accuracy score I might post hundreds of really helpful and informative posts or something like that...

And that was because he was generally very helpful. Never saw such a prolific poster on any forum. He is also a controversial character and discussion of him can lead to debate.

And he is the epitome of the definition of a confidence or "con" man. He moves effortlessly from the "short con" to the "long con" and will never change.

His notorious history dating back to the Yellow forum and including GTA is well known to many. Why he got a pass on AGN baffles me given his history.

It used to allow negative with red balls but people seriously abused it to the point it had to be removed. People still try to leave a negative comment with a green ball but this is against the rules and should be reported.

YOdoyle had multiple accounts. He/she was often helpful but I have to question why even the most avid collector would own 5 each or more of every airgun known to man. It doesn't sound plausible to me.
