I’m curious as to what the “accuracy +” next to the poster’s name denotes? I am the only member I have seen here with no +……..have I somehow angered the gods?

For example;
If someone posts an answer to a question, and the answer appears to be an accurate one, then a grateful member might click the plus button to thank the person that offered up the answer.

It is sort of a AGN user rating system. The more "accuracy" a member has, the more members have hit that little plus sign and made a favorable comment about/to that member.
That is not to say that a member with a lower accuracy rating is less reputable, reliable or trustworthy!
Accuracy just denotes, for the most part, how helpful a member has been based on the number of people who have upped that member's accuracy rating by clicking and making a short comment about that particular interaction.
In general, an AGN member with a high accuracy rating is probably a helpful, knowledgeable person and most likely trustworthy... OR NOT!
Useless for the most part because it doesn't allow negative feedback.

Thanks all, much appreciated. Vinny, that’s good to know, as on my screen the + is not shown. I know It seems petty, but was bothering my brain nonetheless…..

Scott, you will not see the + sign by your name because , that button is to give accuracy point to someone, you think has earned it. You can not give the + to yourself, but everyone else sees your + sign

Interesting that it asks you for a reason. Different approach on this site, with the 10 posts required to submit a classified, and the need to justify your accuracy vote. A bit much perhaps ?

This is interesting. I was never really sure how the rating system worked. I just clicked on mine and I have about four or five very nice comments that I was not aware of.

survivor45, I did exactly the same thing and saw some nice comments on mine too. I feel like such a dinosaur when it comes to this stuff lol! At least we know now!

My annoyance with it is, there are a lot of people that sell things in the classifieds that require accuracy for you to buy something. I haven’t been here for long, but I browse the classifieds often, and there are definitely things I would have purchased had I been able to, but I have no accuracy votes, and some consider that “untrustworthy”.
