With my recent Ken Hicks tunes RAW purchase, Ken recommended an F class Accu-Tac bipod. As it was approximately $400, this was the one part of the purchase I thought was likely overkill.

The bipod and I are still in the get acquainted period, and in the end I think I will grow to like it a lot. There are a number of adjustments that give it a great deal of flexibility but that also must be attended to.

After I had it a few days, one of the rubber feet unscrewed and fell off. I found it the first time. About a week later, I went to put the rifle in the vault and noticed the foot and matching cone to be missing. I didn’t find it that time.

Calling Accu-Tec on Monday morning, I received great customer service and on Friday I had one set of the two needed replacement parts, plus a spare, in my mail box.

While I had already decided to do so, with the replacement came an obviously always included note suggesting that one put some liquid thread lock onto the foot threads before installation. For anyone buying one one of these, I would suggest that you unscrew the feet and apply liquid thread lock before putting it into service.
