If you have the right hardware to attach the bipod, I don't think you'll need to worry about scratching the stock. But even if you did, remember you bought the gun to USE it. If a bipod is going to increase your enjoyment of the gun, put it on. Get your money's worth out of that shooter.

Failing that, how about a short "shooting sticks" like a trigger stick? Those have the rubber feelers on them that won't damage your Precious. ;D
