AA S510 Altaros Regulator

I'm interested in upgrading my AA S200 for a S510 Carbine, and have had no luck researching the Altaros regulator. I like the idea of the manometer still being able to read the cylinder pressure (as opposed to regulator pressure), but have heard negative things about the Altaros. Ive heard claims the reg isnt as consistent as a Huma. Does anyone have any experience with this regulator? I'm worried about its consistency, shot count, and reliability. Are there any problems attributed to the regulator's non-venting design?

I have been told by my local airgun dealer that he can do some valve work and tuning to the S510 Carbine to get ~30 shots at ~26FPE. Ive seen others get ~35 shots at ~30FPE with the Huma and achieved remarkable ES. I was hoping I could get close to this with an Altaros or any other reg that wont effect the manometer.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
