You'll have to guess at the muzzle velocity, but the general rule of thumb is, the heavier the pellet, the slower it goes- but the farther it retains that velocity. There are many exceptions to that rule (tight barrels, over sized pellets, damaged skirts, etc..) but if you want to get just an idea of the energy you'll develop, this is a good first step.
