A relaxed Christmas evening with ole trusty......

No flashy story to tell you fellas...

After all the eating was over and the family finally left to go their separate ways, I grabbed the ole 34 and walked out back. I spent the rest of the evening just shooting and enjoying my time. I didn't bother to take any pictures of any tight groups or anything.....oh, it shoots them, you can be sure of that. But nope, I was just enjoying shooting my springer. Thats what it really is all about........isn't it?

Merry Christmas!

TR

I had an great, relaxing Christmas with my girls, daughter and wife and Jack Russell. Shot some strings over the chrono, did some plinking from 40 to 65 yards. Feel blessed to have family and to live in the good old USA.

We are blessed to live in this beautiful and wonderful country of ours. It sounds like you had a wonderful Christmas day Mr. Leon. And a dog lover too! I have an old Bullldog named Rhett, and he is as much family as the rest of them.

That’s fantastic. I love my family, but definitely cherish quiet time. Shooting my Springers is a great way to spend quality alone time. I had to work all day 23,24, & 25. Hopefully weather cooperates tomorrow & can do a little shooting.

I'm sorry you had to work over Christmas. But, I know all to well what it's like working over holidays when others are off. I hold my private/alone time in very high regard. We just need it at times to slow down and let the mind clear itself of clutter. Shooting the springers is certainly a relaxing way to kinda escape..........from whatever. I hope the weather over in Georgia is good tomorrow and you get to do some shooting.

Wonderful to see them … great to see them go. All my life, or so it seems, I've had to spend Christmas with others … every year. My parents, the wife's parents, my kids, the wife's kids, the neighbors invite us over. I always wondered if there would ever be a time when just me and the wife could spend some time doing what we want to do. Well, today was that day … and for some strange reason I know I'll feel guilty about it …. but NOT just yet 😄. It was a glorious day and we had a blast 🌈

Shalom

Your family left after eating? Lucky...

It took them a while. I almost ran outa daylight by the time they were all gone.

I was just joking around. If you know my people, we like to joke a lot. Feeling the kids excitement on christmas eve and watching them finally open presents is the best thing in the world. Watching them play with the boxes and christmas wrappings while their actual gifts lay forgotten is a lot of fun.

Lots of fun when the kids and grandkids get involved. My 14 year old granddaughter came over on Christmas Eve and we spent the entire afternoon shooting reactive targets from 25 to 90 yards with my various air guns. She never did miss the 90 yard 3" x 3" steel plate with the RedWolf .22 HP. Her favorite gun is a Motorhead tuned AA S410 .22. She is deadly with it, hitting the 15MM spinner at 50+ yards as if not challenged at all.

Yesterday, my new neighbor came over with his two boys and shot a half tin or so of pellets after all of the Christmas activities had settled down. The youngest had a new air rifle he had gotten for Christmas and we sighted it in over the Chrono on the indoor range. It is fun to get the next generation involved.

Happy New Year, all.....

TR,

I did the same thing yesterday and today. I hope to get as much in as I can until I go back to work on the second. All of my people are here and it’s great but it’s also nice to step out for a few and sling some lead all alone. It’s been calm and cold the past few days so that’s been nice.

Happy New Year and thanks for sharing your few moments of shooting solitude with us. Good times for sure!
