A quiet impact...no way!

I hve shot plenty of suppressed ar's and also have a .25 impact with factory shourd and a donny fl sumo. 

By no means is it silent but compared to most high powered air rifles its very quiet. Comparing it to an ar is just nonsense.

I shoot the 33.9 gr mk2 at 860 fps and the sound of the target getting hit is louder then the report of the muzzle. Maybe something is way out of wack with your tune on your impact 

I have a Inpact 30cal and a Donny fl sumo on it and I have to say it's mouse fart quite no kidding. You obviously have a problem with your impact but to come on and say that your AR is quieter that's a noob statement no one believes that. But I think you are just trying to bad mouth Donny fl and have buyers remorse. But maybe am wrong? I hope I am. I would send your inpact in to have it checked out I can tell you if what you are saying is half true it's time to have a pro tech look at it it's not a airgun for everyone it's a airgun for experienced shooters. I have a impact .25 with a Hugget moderator and it is definitely back yard friendly. It is tuned to shoot jsb 25.40grain at 920fps. Might not be as loud cause it's not cranked all the way up?

I would assume the Ronin can be taken apart? Like the Sumo. I would take a look at the internals and make sure the Ronin is put together correctly? Where do you "hear" the loudness coming from? End of the barrel? Near the shooter? Might have someone stand around you as you shoot and see if you can identify the origin of the "noise". I really think your Ronin may not be put together correctly? I hope that is all it is. Keep us informed. good luck.

That statement is just ridiculous.....enough said. The only thing I will give yoy is yes the .25 ia going to be louder than your .22, obviously. But to make a statement and say its louder than a firearm is just nonsense.

My Impact .25 with the Donny Ronin is super quiet and a tac driver. The impact of the pellet is by far the loudest sound you hear. I watched a few videos of people replacing the inner materials of the stock Ronin and did the same thing to mine. Put a small metal screen in the center, then wrapped some dense foam around that and it really absorbs the sound well. You should remove your shroud and fit the Ronin to the end of the barrel and check the sound levels, then put shroud back on and Ronin on end of shroud and again check the sound levels. It sounds like you might have an air leak somewhere in the mix, or you are running too much air through the rifle, so do some adjustments to dial in your Impact with the pellets you are using. You should be able to tune the gun into a silent tac driver, so keep at it until you find out where your problem is then fix it.

When someone claims their air gun is quieter than a mouse fart, I think of this joke.

Neomorphy I love that joke! I've heard of a similar variation of that joke below and cracks me up every time. I've never seen my father cry my whole life until I told him this joke.

dFresh, have you chronied your shots? Only way I can see it being louder than a suppressed AR15 is if you're using a light lead free pellet and breaking the sound barrier. The Ronin only comes in .25 and .30 so the bore hole should be fine. Even with clipping, it shouldn't be loud. Because the Impact allows so many variables to be adjusted (regulator, hammer spring tension HST) we would need more info on your settings to help solve the issue. Many people shoot the Impact with JSB 25.4 gr at full power and it is backyard friendly. As Michael mentioned though, if you set your Impact up correctly and maximize air efficiency your gun should not be loud at all.

I have a .30 cal. FX Bobcat with the DonnyFL Ronin at 80 FPE, and its backyard friendly...

My .30 Impact with the stock stackable baffles is backyard friendly. Just recently it started getting loud. It turns out my breech oring was going bad. I called Fxusa and asked for a tech. Guess who answers ? Yes Earnest Rowe himself. He diagnosed the issue in about 30 seconds.
