A few goods words about FX Airguns.

As Michael is aware, I am the registered owner of the AirGunGuild. That notwithstanding, I have been visiting this sight for several years, even before I became owner of the AGG (almost by default). One item which stood out here on the AGN, is the love and admiration for FX airguns,. I have always admired FX airguns, especially the Impact. With the apparent demise of Wicked Air Rifles, and the fact my WAR Cobra model now have over 20,000 rounds shot through it (it is getting old and wornout like me at nearly 80 years of age!), I finally dropped the hard-earned cash, and bought a 25 caliber Impact, with the new Power Plenum.

I also bought a Hawke Sidewinder in 4X16X50, and their adjustable rings. To boot, I purchased an FX Radar, all from Utah Airguns. They did indeed live up to their advertised hype, as being one of the best retailers in the airgun business! Scope mounted, shot in, etc.! And shipped on time!

To make a long story short, I am totally amazed at the Impact, especially so because I bought and installed a DonnyFL suppressor. Oh My! And here I thought my TKO-suppressed, Benjamin 397 was quite (!), the hammer fall actually makes more noise than the muzzle blast does!

If nothing else, I now know why there is an unrequited love for all things FX, on the AGN. May they K(all) live forever.

More good words (quoting me) from another forum

"I have had the good fortune to be in a position to observe Fredrik Axelsson on two occasions discussing innovations on Fx Airguns by individuals outside of Fx. He was talking to the outside innovators and was supporting their ideas. On one occasion he said that the innovation was better than the way Fx did it and he planned to use the innovation. I wondered what would happen. Fx did implement that change. Fredrik gave the innovator creative credit and financial support. There was no contract that required him to do so. I have been following these innovations and developments for about 3 years. I would like to give credit to Fredrik and Fx for both being good people with whom one can do business and for advancing the airgun sport because they love it."

I'm fortunate enough to be an owner of ONLY two PCP's, an FX Boss & Royale 500. I've sold off & given away all my other ones. For me, these 2 guns check all the boxes but I know tastes differ. They are very fine pieces of equipment. If I could afford an Impact I would certainly buy one. NOT that my guns leave me unfulfilled but because of my confidence in FX to build superior airguns. I LOVE my two guns & their accuracy & reliability amazes me still. I'll never be able to afford another FX in this lifetime but all my airgun needs are filled. THANKS FX!!!

Great enough to sell the Power Plenum to those who want to do their own installation?

Let's see

I just called in today and talked to Scott about buying the power plenum for my gen 1 Impact. He had me talk with a tech and verify that I was able to do the install and acknowledge that if I screwed it up, it was on me. They also had me acknowledge that only the new parts were covered for defects. They sent me an email with the request form and said that they should be back with me in a few days to verify payment.

Call them up and they will take care of your needs. You might have to be a little patient but you will get what you want.

If they do that for those who want to do their own installations then awesome but I will wait and see.

I have called 7 times in the last week at different times and all I get is the voice mail.

I will call again tomorrow.

Sounds like they may have had a change of heart. I called about a week ago, and Scott told me that they would not sell the parts, and you have to send in the rifle for mod. I did explain that I've modified and tinkered with nearly everything in it, and that they've sold me essentially the same parts in stock form which I installed. None of that mattered then, but perhaps they've realized there are more of us that want to do the install. I'll give them another call and see. Thanks
