a Diana Raptor is in the UK and Europe but who makes it

I Saw a Diana Raptor some time ago and for the life of me I can't figure out who makes it

now it is a dead ringer for a Colt Python but the colt is a BB pistol and loads with cartridges and the Raptor doesn't

now the Gamo PR-776 uses what looks like the same circle mags that the Raptor uses and is a pellet pistol

so we have the Raptor that looks like a Colt Python and loads like a Gamo PR-776, so the question is who make the Colt air pistols, Gamo, and the Raptor is a bit of a Hybred

now years ago Diana had a pistol named the R-357 and it was a Gamo R-77 with a better barrel and both of these pistols are good shooter with fair triggers

so here are the 3 pistols

I sure don't need one but would like to know how all of these pistols are related

take care

Diana didn't make this pistol any more then they made the Chaser and some of the other offerings that are China based products but that is what they would like you to believe

does what they offer a better product then there Chinese cousins maybe but I think this pistol has a different country of origin and manufacture then China

it was a question out of curiosity

Curiosity in your post is what got my attention because I just purchased a Diana Bandit and I know where that’s made so I just looked up Diana Raptor and that’s the info I got, it basically said that the Raptor is a 4” C02 steel revolver made by Diana a well known German Manufacturing company who has gotten into airguns, there was a lot of info in German on other sites so that didn’t do me any good being I can’t read it.

It is a nice looking pistol for sure, never seen it till you posted about it.

Virtually ALL of the air pistols sporting the name of a well known hand gun manufacturer are of Chinese manufacture. . the only excepting I know of right off is the Smith & Wesson 78 and 79 G's which were actually made by S&/w. Sadly this was back in the 1979 era.

They were exceptional accurate and powerful for a CO-2 Air Pistol and highly collectable, and a clone of he very respected S&W mod 41 .22 target pistol. (A holy grail in itself). If your lucky enough to find a good example, Grab it!!!
