A couple videos

I put together a few videos of my recent hunting trip with a buddy of mine. Every year we go out for a week long hunting trip with our air rifles and see what we can get. We take food out with us but only cook it up when we have some type of game or other wild edible to cook with it. My dad gets a kick out of my trips I’ve been on so I figured I’d take my GoPro collection and camera with me and get some video of it so he can watch and see what we actually did. He’s too old to ever be able to go out with me so I try and bring it back to him. Figured if anyone was sitting around and wanted something to watch I’d post it up. I still have more to go through and make, I just need more hours added to the day.

Thanks guys. Yes the first day sucked! Not sure how far we had to drag the boats but it was a lot that’s for sure. I’m slowly working on our crawfish trapping and crawfish mac’n cheese. My dad gets a kick out of them and likes to show his friends. I probably have enough for 2 more videos from that trip but hunting season is just starting so I’m sure I’ll have more.

Thanks! It is usually 6 months in the planning. The closer it gets to hunting season the more we plan. It’s always a good time though and makes us look forward to the next one. The more we go on the more we buy so eventually we’ll have everything we will ever need for these trips!

Awesome, ya, you guys are certainly prepped and know what to do. A lifetime of woods and beach camping taught me the ropes. Great videos, looking for the next. May have to do something similar here in Maui for my channel.

I always wanted to camp camp on a beach with nothing around and just live off the food the water provided. Maybe someday I’ll be able to.

He’s in his mid 70’s. Diabetic and beat up by Vietnam hasn’t left him in the best shape. He gets around the house fine enough but out in the woods like that would be too much for him. I’ll probably take him out on a weekend squirrel hunt with me this fall sometime but we’ll just set up the tent at a rustic campground.

You know him best but I'd want to be out there no matter what. I've got a friend still carrying mortar iron from Vietnam. Tell your dad I said thanks for his service.

Thank you I will pass the info along. He didn’t bring back mortar shrapnel but he did bring back alcoholism that lasted for close to 40yrs and took a toll on his health. He’s been sober for the past 10yrs luckily because he wouldn’t be here now if he would have kept up drinking. I’m proud of him.
