A Chipmunk Culling

Hello fellow Airheads!

I offer to you all another pesting video. This time I begin my annual chipmunk culling. The mild winters are allowing the chipmunks to wake earlier in the season and get more litters produced than in years past. This video captures a few of the kills as well as some pretty funny video production errors that all of us videographers run into from time to time.

Thank you for taking the time to watch my video.
I look forward to your comments.

"DuncanHynes"OMG, loudest .22 ever. ha. Some kind of echo chamber, but she hits hard. You are an ethical hunter. On the 55 yard shot no hold over, did you adjust turrents or was that your zero?
Yeah, this Marauder flings the lead pretty heavy. The video camera that I use to film off rifle has dual external microphones which may be exaggerating the sound a bit. That first one though, that sounded like a Chinese Martial Arts movie special effect... THWOP! As for zero, I have the rifle zero'd for 60yards but I am contantly adjusting the turrets during a session. Thanks for the comment DH

Nice work on pesting. It's a bumper crop year for sure in the Northeast. Got 4 in the last 2 days, they've eroded a stone wall so much that a top granite block fell over 😡. Took one out with a JSB 25.4gr at 35yrds out of the Airwolf MCT Tactical today, it would have given your MRod a run for the money with the hollow THUD.

"balllistic"

The destruction that multiple chipmunks cause is really underestimated by folks that do not have these little critters undermining structural elements around the property. In the far corner of my property which I use for long as a long distance shooting range, has a stack of 100+ cinder blocks. I have had to build a platform for the stack to sit on due to chipmunk undermining which caused entire stacks to topple over. If they get inside a structure, like a home's attic or between the walls, forget it!
I was able to get some trigger time in on Saturday and bagged 6 more so I am working on another video which I will release in a week or so. I imagine that your Airwolf delivering a 25.4gr pellet to a chipmunk would produce a THWOP! Maybe a video would help illustrate the things better :)
Thank you for the comment and I look forward to your video ;)
