I was shooting my D54 when all of a sudden something blocked my view in the scope. This little fellow decided to spend some time with me. I had to stop shooting because I feared he would fly in front of the barrel as I was taking a shot

That is totally insane but a good sign that you are a pretty trusted individual. Pretty cool thing to have happen. All clover and no grass how does that werq? I shoot the Diana 54 with a Bullseye mount as well. A very good choice it is.

Pretty cool! Had that happen before, but don’t recall being able to take a picture. Certainly was a very nice day to do a little shooting in GA today.

I have rabbits and squirrels run in front of my targets quite often. But the ones on my property are friends and not afraid of my family. Any others are fair game.

Wow that is too cool! My little song birds would stay on the feeder until I get about 6 feet away then they would fly up to the branches until I get about 7-8 feet away and they would fly right back. Also have pack of doves would roost in the oak tree in the back yard, strangely sometime I find them just sitting on the ground below the feeder early in the morning, guess they are too full to fly up to the branch? Don't think they stand a chance from neighbor's outdoor cats if they sleep on the ground. The same doves would just pop their head up from feeding when I shoot the target right below on of my "feeder" then resume eating, some don't even flinch even though the pellet would hit less than 6 inches away sometimes. Maybe one day they will land on my barrel too because that's just too cool, it's a good sign hopefully. Squirrels get free lead if I catch them in my yard!

Hope this isn't some weird Covid thing with the birds. I've had a couple of them get within inches of my feet on the porch this month.

There was a a mocking bird hanging around and bullying this bird and I had made up my mind that I was going to take him out. But he (mocking bird) seems to have moved on.

Animals do weird things when they are dying for example from being poisoned and act really friendly like they be your best friend and come right up to you like that.

It happens to me alot. The deer at the range fear no gunshots nor lead flying around them. They bed down between the berms and seem to use this 175 yard turkey silhouette for a wake up call and dinner bell.

I've had a jackrabbit keep walking back and forth across my range in Commyfornia while I was shooting. Everytime it would cross it kept getting closer to where I was shooting. Dang thing knew I wouldn't shoot it because I won't shoot something unless I'm going to eat it. Except ground squirrels of course.
