Thanks for the kind words. After steaming out about a thousand dents I actually had very little sanding to do. The tedious part was applying about 20 thin coats of Napier's London Oil to it and letting each coat completely dry then knocking each coat back with 0000 steel wool soaked with rubbing oil. With age the wood will get richer and richer looking.

Thank you Mike. I hold you comment as high praise. Also, thanks for all your help guiding me along the restoration path. It now shoots as good as it looks. Took a little effort and time to get the leather piston seal properly fitted and the breech seal installed right but it really turned out well.
