800mm FX barrels, when will they be available?

All you need to add to this stupid backward technology is a Donny fatboy and hang it on your clown car

My good man, some of your posts about the maverick alone made me join my first online forum. Like you i am waiting on a .22 800mm liner and disassembled the maverick in pieces the next day except it was my first airgun. Nice idea about the double plenum by the way and congratulations on the clean recent shot on the pig. I have been making some changes of mine and some parts like a 20 position power wheel, barrel extenders, airstrippers.. lots of new ideas and little time to test them properly. Anyway i just wanted to be available of any help to you like your posts were to me has i have acess to precision cnc mills and can help you should you ever need.

You are making a difference keep at it!

I appreciate the kind words man! I'm in the same boat with ideas and time...

For sure! I have tensioned my 32" TJs barrel, and my .177 barrel I machined. I did more so for consistent POI out of the case, since the machined barrels are far more rigid than a liner barrel is. Tensioned barrels are great for repeatability of POI out of the case, and not having to worry when you bump the gun.

I dealt with constant poi on my maverick. The 600mm barrel was worse then the 500mm. The gun was very accurate but would up to 2 inches off at 25 yards. I felt like I couldn’t trust it to grab and shoot, I always felt like I had to move my scope to the new poi. Yes my scope is good and was tested on another gun. I’m going to watch and see if the tensioned setup helps with this. Hopefully tensioning will help with barrel droop due to moderators.

Tensioning it will help, without a doubt! You can tension it without buying a new barrel setup though. You can use a spacer between the back of the shroud and rail supports. You need the spacer to be just slightly longer than the space between the back of the shroud and the support, then tighten the shroud down to where it compresses the spacer. The other option is to loose the shroud and use a section of carbon and use the moderator to compress the tube and tension it.
