5 @ 20 yards, rested, w/factory iron sights

I saw a nice 5 shot group here from 16 yards, off hand. Wow! I knew I couldn’t do that. Maybe with a scope, perfect trigger on a tuned lightweight HW30 or the likes.

So for unsorted CPHP’s from a factory RWS 48 with TO5 I am actually happy with this. I’d like better irons though. Just a finer set, not diopter. I can’t see anything with those free that I’ve looked through.

Target is 21 yards from where I sit. 20 yards w/ -3* downslope of banister to cardboard box on ground.

If you look above target/tires 79 yards behind at 12:30 is a 98 yard tree with dirt at base for a quick reference on hits. I’ve got so much to clear as far as thorn bushes and weeds. I probably won’t even be able to see it in mid/late Spring.

Mr. Marflow,

Could you provide a link to a best price site that would allow me to purchase a entire full set please?

I see Champions Choice, some others. I don’t know what brand to go with that’s the most universal. I absolutely love the Gehman 510 0.5-3mm design. If it works like a good camera shutter, that’s neat. I know a full set can be expensive.

I don’t know if I’ll like it or not compared with a Williams micro click rear & fine Partridge front blade.
Truth be told I do have a very extensive collection of old Jewelers files and I have thinned my front post. I’m not sure if I like a sharp inverted V, a 0.060” flat faced, or a fine notch has been great on one set I did. Not the set used in the shown group.

I can & have sold many original Nicholson, Swiss, Heller, files to knife makers. Every Spring I hit the huge flea market & find gold. From my Helios calipers to several Starrett mics & full 1-6” rod depth gauge in cases for $50.00. That’s GOLD!

I’ll post pictures of my file collection and the sights I’m currently working as taking a picture of the sights is harder than it sounds.
The messed up barrel is why I cut & crowned a tiny tuned spring gun for my middle son. I practiced on the piece I cut off.
