This will be my 4th of July celebration. I decided to make a bunch of noise with the ol' Big Blast Target inflators instead of fire crackers and such. I'm the actor/director/cameraman ......you name it. So, bear with me. I got some of the latest valves that are really an improvement over the old valves. With the new valve/cap assy's , you don't have to remove the tamper ring to screw them down. With the older rings, I always had to cut the tamper rings off because the cap wouldn't screw down enough to bottom out and make a good seal. Also, these new caps are way tougher and they have a neat little tab with a hole to tie mason string through so you don't lose the cap assy when the bottle explodes. Just tie the other end to a piece of scrap, or a tree limb, or what ever. In my case I tied 2 bottles together and tied a little red flag to the end of another to make it easy to find. It looks like I had 2 duds in the video, but I didn't they were both my fault. The first bottle I shot at was the the little half liter sundrop bottle and it really looked like I hit it because the bottle moved. I thought it was a dud and left it at that. When I picked up all the mess from the explosions, I picked the sundrop bottle up and started to remove the valve. The darn thing exploded in my hands!!!!!LOLNot really an explosion like the other bottles but pretty nasty. I didn't realize I only nicked the bottle when I shot it. Didn't even put a hole in it. Should have realized the bottle was still pressurized when I picked it up but I didn't. When I went to unscrew that cap.......POW!!!!!!!......scared the crappola out of me. That 90 psi shot the cap clean out of my hand. It smarted for a few minutes, but no damage done to my hand or anything. Just wish I would have had it on video and no, I'm not gonna try it again just for video sake! LOL! And then of course remember the cardboard box that I shot and thought was a dud. Well, dummy me didn't even have a bottle in that one? All bottles shot with my trusty 22 cal FX 400. Oh, by the way.....I shot some 21grain H&N Baracuda Match with the 5.53 mm head, and some of the 21 grain Beeman Kodiaks earlier in the FX, and I'll be darn if they don't give the 18 grain JSB's a run for their money. From what I've heard FX only likes JSB, but I was pleasantly surprised with the groups from these 2 tins. Enjoy the video.....hey,who is that fat guy???? LOL!Hope everyone has a wonderful 4th ;-)
