....4500psi Carbon Fiber tank question.....

I'm not sure if everyone noticed but take a close look at the 2nd to last column called "Cost per Cubic Foot". This value is based on the following formula:
Tank Price / Volume (Cubic Ft) = Cost per 1 Cubic Foot

WORST VALUE: The Benjamin 90ci tank (7.5cf) @ $58.66 per cubic foot
BEST VALUE: The Omega 100cf tank @ $5.80 per cubic foot

The least expensive tank is the Luxfer Limited 106cf tank @ $5.33 per cubic foot though it's not made of carbon fiber tank and has a max fill of 4350psi.\

Yes a agree my experience was the exact same joe does not give u a straight answer on price try's to up sell u fast talk This low price plus this plus that Like a used car salesman u need to keep a calculator running to speak to him air hog give u a short answer and the price

Well sorry to hear you had a poor experience with Joe but I bought my 72cuft. TigerShark tank and my Vulcan.25 plus an AEON scope and JSB.25g pellets from Joe and got a hell of a discount and it was shipped out the same day packaged very securely and I received it all the way on the opposite side of the country in just a few days. I'm not saying you didn't have a bad experience I'm just saying My business with Joe was great and also I really like the second gauge so I can keep an eye on the tank pressure while filling it with my Shoebox Max compressor plus I don't waste any air trying to check the pressure with a dead head.

I'm another guy that felt I was getting the "bum's rush hustle" from JB. Took my business elsewhere. I got the 74 cu.ft. Air Venturi tank from AGD for $495 delivered (before they stopped honoring 10% coupons on 'em) and it does everything I need it to do just fine thank you. I also just purchased a 60 min. scba tank with 12 years left for $300 but I did have to make up a fill hookup that's costing me about $110 and that's with using a microbore hose I already own.
I'm pleased that it appears that members here can post honestly about their opinions re. experiences with a vendor.

May I suggest that before buying a 4500psi tank you make sure you have a 4500psi source to fill it. I was told that "any scuba shop" can do it, but that turned out to be untrue. My scuba shop is only capable of 3500-ish. Luckily I found a paintball shop nearby that can handle 4300+ Nitrogen.

Alternatively, you may have the possibility of a gas supply store providing 6000psi nitrogen tanks. 

Point is, research and plan your solutions before buying.

VERY true! I'm very fortunate that I have a dive shop 25 minutes away that can fill virtually anything. 4500 psi fills from empty are $8 and they fill while you wait. Great people as well. I just hope they stay around as long as I do.

My paintball supply/park had no problems filling my Draeger SCBA that I got off the bay. They didn't have the fill probe they needed, but I had my stickman adapter and it worked fine. At a later time, I may get a fill probe to fill and not worry about the gauge. My SCBA was filled to 4500 PSI and is an 88 cu feet tank.

Well, I have three PCP air rifles and a HPA 66 cu.ft. carbon fiber tank. I bought the tank and all the hoses, fittings, etc, needed from Joe Brancato of airtanksforsale.com. He is a wealth of knowledge and really helped me - I didn't have a clue.

The Shoebox compressor I bought from Joe, when I bought the tank, finally bit the bullet, so I needed to find another compressor - I went online and discovered a 4500 psi compressor called an Omega Air Charger. It arrived just the other day and I've already used it to take my tank back up to 4500 psi - piece of cake and an LOT faster than my Shoebox ever was.

My three PCP's are:
Two .22's - A Gen 1 Marauder and a FX Royale 400 - and an FX Wildcat .25. I don't shoot a WHOLE LOT (kinda in spurts), my 66 cu.ft. tank is still supplying me with air. I don't know when I'll need to hook it back up to the Air Charger - I'm waiting for it to get down to around 3000 psi.

I'm new to PCP A-Gunning and am getting ready to buy my first setup from A-Z... Im planning on spending about a $1000-$1200usd. I have a chance to buy the .357/9mm Benjamin Bulldog (Black) complete Setup w/Scope & Rings, Carrybag, Sling, Cleaning Rod, Cleaning Pellets, Lube, Box of Pellets & BiPod, all for a Total of $823usd after tax, shipping and all...That will leave me with $177-$377usd left in total to spend on my Fill Station. I Do NOT want a Hand Pump. So my Question is Which would be the best kind of settup for me to get to fill my gun so that i can at the very least shoot 100 slugs each Time i have my tanks full before having to go back and get my tank/tanks filled at the scuba/paintball shop again...Now from what ive researched so far i would really like a SCBA tank as i think it would be my best option for what i have to spend............. ...PLEASE NOTE: I can get my tanks Hydro Tested close to home for $25.00 and VIP tested for $5.00, I can get a 88cf tank filled at a scuba shop close to home for $6.00 "Im not sure their MAX psi" OR I can get a 88cf tank filled at a paintball shop close to home and all the way up to 4500psi for a mere $4.00...... So Please let me know what you guys think i should do, What my best option would be for the money i have left to spend on a conplete fill station. (Im Not Worried About portability) Should i get Scuba Tanks? Steel or Alumi or Comp. OR SCUB? Should I get a single tank setup? SAVE some money and go to the bay and look for scba tanks of US manufacture. You can actually craft search terms to find tanks with a manufacture date for the year of your choice. Remember, the 15 year life span starts on the manufacture date. The SCBA tank I recently purchased was a 2014 manufacture date and has a current hydro. The valve is not a high blast or volume rushing valve-it too is "slow flow". I am not certain, but I think that the way the threads are cut, that there is actually a built in pressure relief feature. My SCBA tank from the bay cost a third of new and my tank looks new. The seller is snoosejunction and the first tank was a UK tank. He took it back and I got the US tank. IF I had my own compressor, it wouldn't matter and I could assume some risk, and use other tanks. So if you are patient you can get a great tank and save some money too.

The hard part is finding a fill station. None of the local paintball and scuba shops can fill 4500psi. And firehouses in my area won't fill it as it's a liability issue. If I find a reliable source, I'll probably get the larger capacity cf tank

Maybe, if you can, have cash ready & shop for sales. I live in WA State, waited for a sale & coupon from Pyrmidair for the Bulldog, cleaning rod & swab thingys, little tube of & ( ? ) Noslers, a box of noslers for $640 delivered. 
It DOES NEED high mounts.
100 shots per sitting min. BIG tank !! Honest. Haven't fired it enou8gh to give you fill numbers but the "factory" ammo uses LOT's less air than say JSB pellets- again sorry no numbers yet, waiting on a pro-chrono sale- any heavy you like should help save air, this one the noslers group well to at least 50 yards as do JSB but they are louder .

Shopping ( waiting after research) I purchased a 45 minute CF tank & full adaptor/hose/foster with 11+ years left on it for $340 delivered.

Just cause I'm typing, I would have never purchased a bullpup airgun, NO attraction to me and I like 4oz triggers & regs & wood ... .this was for "her" but after shaking it down I do like it, darn good "hunting" trigger , really, seem easy to work on, consider it a 4 shot per fill rifle ( shoot reged & tethered would be great) and it groups very well.
I will hunt if that's what your trying to do.

Yes. I could get JUST the B.Bulldog and get it for under $650usd at the door with the few lil bonus addons, BUT the pack im talkn bout comes with a pretty decent scope, bipod, carry case etc. Worth the $175 extra... and ive searched the web over and it seems the most bang for my buck. Oh, and yes, Hunting is a must. I live in Kentucky (((THANKS FOR THE GREAT FAST REPLYS, Ill Post again soon as im home from work. I get the feeling that A-Gunners really lookout for ea. Other. Herb-Get one of these for $300. I got one from him & it's as described, almost like new. A 60 minute scba tank is 88 cubic foot. These will be good for 12 more years.

Thanks Ed. I checked it out and it does look like a pretty good deal on the tank but it is a lil more than i can do right now. BUTTT I did bookmark it and its (the tank) forsure something on my list to consider if i cant find a better deal. Im in no rush cause id rather get more for my money then to jump into anything fast and regret it when i see something better rite after i buy it. Right now tho im really glad you gave me the link to those tanks because to be honest theres only one more deal thats matchn up with yours so far. Im still gonna take my time a look around high and low for another week or two but right now as far as tanks are concerned its between 2 deals, The ones from ebay that you gave the Link for and this other deal for a brand new 2017' 9ltr 4500 psi carbon fiber setup from a direct China mft for around the same price. Pros i like about the China one is brand new and comes with a double regulator valve to taper but because of lesser quality i would have to get a hydro every 3 years instead of every 5 so i still havent made up my mind but that was the only good deal i had lined up until now. Well now that you showed me those i may very well just opt for the better quality and buy used and more trusted american. Thanks ED those are really good tanks. I like having options too.

I got one of the " Ebay " Dragars from snoozejunction also. Great tank, great quality, great deal. I say go for the quality tank over the China tank.

Well yea ive decided to go for the ebay tank. I was gonna go for the china cause dude was gonna give me a sweet deal on a whole 88cf setup with regular and all the extra bells and yells BUT I found that i would most likely run in to problems trying to get it filled at a public shop because of not having the DOT Approved Tag line on it "required" here in the U.S.A. So even tho the tank would be brand new with fresh VIP & HYDRO chances are i still would NOT be able to get it filled It was a hell of a deal on a hell of a setup i had them talked out of tho. If i had my own HPA Compressor i would have went that route since i would have been covered by ebay+paypal+myBank There would have been no risk BUT Thanks to ED postn that link for us all to be able to get a good setup off ebay i have a 2nd option AND Ive decided to go with that cause dude worked with me and came down a couple bucks so im good and satisfied now. So once again ED THANKYOU BROTHER. Good lookn out on the Big Blue Ds from ebay. I owe you a Solid man.
