Finally got to check out a new farm permission this morning. Shot 4 males but still looking for big momma! Seems she is pretty smart and with all these boys around I know she's here….brings my total this year to 27 in 3 different locations.

Place is just overrun with starlings too!!!

Gonna sit tight for a while more with the Cricket .25 before I get out the Veteran .22 for the birds.

Good shooting!  Groundhogs with an airgun are more fun than deer with a powder burner IMHO.

I've never lived in the same habitat as chucks, but 4 in a morning seems a stellar score to me.

    Good shooting!

Nice job on the chucks. Planning on heading to the farm in the morning to see if I can tag a couple myself. Reloaded up some .223 ammo and sighted in the rifle today. I hadn’t shot the .223 for many years. I built it for my dad as a Christmas present 25 years ago. Started out with a Howa barreled action and whittled out the stock from a piece of walnut from a tree we cut down when I was a kid. I know it’s not AG related. But I can’t get much closer then a couple hundred yards from the critters. Besides I have shot 14 so far with 3 different air guns this year.

I don't even bother squeezing the trigger anymore unless I have a clear head shot.

65fpe with VK slugs is like hitting them with a hammer!

I had a chuck in my yard before I had my Diana 48 in 22. Now he better watch out! :) did not think I could take him with 177. Big fella.

5 in one day is a good haul for groundhogs. That place must have a bunch of them.

A few years ago I shot 20 off one farm with my airguns. Got 4 twice and then a couple each time after that. Finally got big daddy by himself one day and he was a hoss.

Problem was I made the farmer happy but I ran out of targets for a while. He stopped by the other day and told me some are starting to show up again so I'll be going out there as soon as vacation is over.

Saw 4 more today but they were all on a mission and would not hold still in the edge of the corn. Finally I whistled at the last one and he sat up at 56 yards….bingo #29

Way to go James Iooks like having 65 fpe and those slugs is really getting the job done. I got four the other day with three on video but just have not had the time to edit. Shooting mine with the Wildcat .25 and 34 grain JSB's while waiting for my .22 cal slug liner to come for my new FX Impact. Hoping that will allow me to stretch out the yardage some with less wind drift to get the job done. Bill
