what compound are you using to polish the hammer?

I have Rouge and Tripoli that I used for polishing gold ( with rag wheels and rotary brushes). Would I need to have something more course. Going to take apart the .22 Falcon this weekend. Can you pick up Flitz at a hardware store?

I want to thank you for all your good homework! Your project has helped me solidify my choices on components. I was looking for a gen1 marauder to fit a Teryx folding stock I purchased, in that search I wound up with 2, a 22 and a 25. I had recently purchased a 24" .25 caliber HW barrel to increase accuracy and velocity on the one, but really wanted a .30, now I will just convert the .22, I already have a p-rod and a TalonSS .22, I'm really interested in building a single shot pistol based on a 1701p in .30 that will shoot round ball accurately to 25 yrds. Any suggestions on barrel? 

What barrel length did you use? Roy says additional length is available, and I figure with a 24" I should be able to hit 950fps comfortably, with a regulator set to 2400-2600psi, as well as a smaller report, mine will be a bottle gun, but probably a 22ci bottle since you don't have to hydro them.

Love following your progress. I have decided to go the .30 Marauder myself. Although I'am not great at tuning I'am looking forward to the build. I have a new Marauder on the way and the kit from Mountain Air on the way.

I'm going to try stock for now since its getting cold in Maine. This summer I may do a few other upgrades. I'm new at tuning of any sort so it ought to be interesting!!!

I just may take you up on that shortly. I do think the Hill valve would make a big difference but I dont trust myself to do anything like polishing and what not. Thanks! Aaron

Very fun build for sure! I do miss mine. I went with the Hill valve as well and had plenty of power
