2nd try, first post lost- Lottes Joker

This is my second try posting this. The first try, this morning, is lost in the ether…

Lottes-Sport is making a device that analyzes the concentricity of pellets, to improve accuracy. Has anyone tried this device? If so, what do you think of it? If you have not tried it, do you believe sorting by the concentricity of pellets will increase accuracy over analyzing weight and diameter?

I find this topic to be way more than about pellets- it is about the specific pellet gun, rifling, pellet head size, pellet make, etc.

You will need to translate, from German,…

I am/was interested to get a tester for my .25 JSB's and we had a conversation with the owner, but easier just to say I cannot get it. I fully understand the complications not going into details. I think the real testing is this one:

I am washing -> lubing -> weight sorting bigger batches anyway, now to add a one more step inspection over winter months I wouldn't mind the entertainment.

I think the tester can show and filter out some inconsistencies from fabrication processes, but a question is still on the table how that would show the flyers - that would be the next step to prove it in next season.

That is quite a rabbit hole to go down! It will be interesting to see if the visual sorting, using the roller, increases accuracy. Or, if simple sorting by headsize and weight is sufficient.

Years ago I sorted .22 rimfire ammunition by overall length and rim thickness, to increase accuracy. What I found was that less expensive ammunition had sufficient variation to induce error. More expensive ammunition had better quality control and less variation. I suspect it is the same for pellets.
