Only three showed up this past Sunday, others were at various other airgun related events. The day was warm, but windier than I've seen in the past two years shooting at LDs place in Temecula, CA. Windy enough that my wind flag kept blowing over. Started first card around 9:05AM, and it was pretty windy. Then for the next two cards it was blustery and wind shifting every 4 or 5 seconds, making sighters pretty worthless.
Afterwards we all shot 50Y just for fun, and then 100 yard with our EBR/RMAC guns. My .30 FX Bobcat is dialed in, shooting inside of an inch vertical spread for 9 shot (one magazine) groups at 100 yards. For 50 yards, wind was blowing so hard it would take my .22 JSB Exact pellets not only to the black, but out of the target square entirely on some shots. And with the wind shifting every 4 or 5 seconds, it was pretty much impossible to shoot a sighter and gain any knowledge from it. Gabe actually shot his second card at 50 yards very well, shooting 25.4 grain JSB RD Monsters at about 50 FPE with his .22 Impact. Goes to demonstrate just how much better a BC it has compared to the 15.9 grain JSB Exact. I shot my last 50Y card with the .30 Bobcat just for fun, and it wasn't even fair...
But, fun was had by all three of us, and we shot from about 0900 to around 12:30.
