.25 Caliber FX Hybrid Slugs Now Available

Introducing the next caliber in the revolutionary FX Hybrid Slug

The Hybrid Slug has been a fundamental leap forward in airgun projectile technology. Combining the high ballistic coefficients of slugs, accuracy of pellets, and a light weight provided by the deep recessed hollow point provided by the Hybrid’s patented design. FX proudly offers the next chapter for the Hybrid, the .25 Caliber Hybrid Slug: available immediately at all FX dealers in the US (and in route to international dealers).

The .22 Caliber Hybrid that was released at the end of 2019 has been a resounding success for both FX Airgun owners as well as those shooting the Hybrid from other manufacturer’s rifles. The effect of the light weight of the design only shines brighter with larger calibers. The .25 Caliber Hybrid is an even more hunting friendly caliber that expands the size of game you can hunt with the Hybrid.

Testing has determined that the .25 Caliber Hybrid Slug obtains the best accuracy when shot between 930 – 970 fps. With the initial offering of the .25 Hybrid Slug weighing 26 grains, this will provide 45 ft lbs of muzzle energy that will shoot very flat and provide impressive expansion due to the design of the Hybrid.

The 26gr .25 Hybrid is an amazing projectile. When shot through the new FX Superior STX Liner in a closed indoor 100 yard test range, ¾” – 1” groups were easily obtained. In real world conditions with higher winds, the .25 Hybrid really shines and the sub-MOA 100 yard accuracy maintains. Testing has found that the .25 Hybrid is affected by wind less than even heavier grained .25 standard slugs! FX has listed the G1 BC at a conservative 0.090, keeping in mind altitude and feet per second effect this number (as well as the G1 BC being the closest ballistics model to compare the Hybrid Slug to). Already many early reviewers have registered BCs higher than the listed 0.090. We know users will be astounded with their results as the gyroscopic flywheel rim effect of the Hybrid design really shines and firmly places the .25 Hybrid as the premium hunting airgun projectile in its caliber.

At just 26 grains, users will find that a vast amount of .25 Caliber rifles will shoot the Hybrid well. Note that these .25 Hybrid Slugs have been tailored to perform best from the new FX Superior STX Barrel Liners. FX users are encouraged to upgrade their existing FX Rifles STX barres to this new liner to achieve the best accuracy. Older STX Pellet A and STX Slug A liners have not yielded as good of results as the Superior STX Liner.

The .25 Cal FX Hybrid Slug is available immediately at all USA based FX Dealers and is in route to other FX Dealers around the world. Contact your FX Dealer for pricing and availability. The .30 & .35 Caliber Hybrid Slug are due to be released the summer of 2020 as the lineup of the FX Hybrid Slug continues to evolve and grow.

I really want to have the Superior .25 liner
But, which of the two to choose ....... the standard Superior liner or the heavy Superior liner ????
I would like to know which of the two will shoot perfectly or better the Hybrids and also the JSB Exact Heavy MKII ???
Thank you

You get the heavy liner if your gun has a power plenum and the standard liner can handle the harmonics of factory settings.

personally I’m not interested unless FX makes a .257 that would send 68 grain RBT’s at 950-1000fps. And got at least 15-20 shots single digit spread.

Their slugs are great though. I’ve shot the same type in 13-20mph winds at 155 yards with them being pushed only one mil to left.
A pellet would have been blown 2-3’ or more.

JamesD.

At this moment I have my Dreamline tac .25 with double plenum, needle and transfer ready and to give you an idea and to advise me better, I will tell you that at 110bar of regulator I can move the king heavy 34gr at 876fps.
As you can see I have enough margin with the regulator .......
What you think?
B, regards

I would like to see a pic of your setup.

Good companions
After buying the two new liner .... Superior Heavy and Superior Standard and doing many configurations, tests 900fps to 970fps Impact MK II Power plenum .25 ..... I have come to the conclusion that I will not buy the Hybrids again until the prices are lower ... ... they are not miraculous and 100yards I make better groups with the King Heavy and the MK II (Great groups with the Superior Standard liner) even the Hades and NSA 29.5gr go very well with this liner.
I have never seen in my life Slug with more dirt ..... with how expensive they are they could be clean and I have verified that they improve by cleaning the tip ... I think this affects the groupings.
Waiting for the new Slug from JSB AND H&N .25

P.S. How is it possible with better BC the wind affects the Hybrid more than the King Heavy ???? 😨

Above King Heavy MK II and Nielsen 29.5gr, below the Hades ..... these are more affected by the little wind that afternoon. 😅 100yards
