Im new here and sure its been talked about before but im soon to make a large purchace and would like to know witch ones fly the best. Ive owned a regal xl for a couple of years and really like it i just have a fever for a new rifle.
Welcome! I have terrific results with the 25gr. through my Wildcat. Are you shooting at extreme distances (100yds +/-)? If so, I'd recommend trying the heavies for bucking the wind. But even at those distances, I'm still shooting the 25's. Tom
Thanks Tominco! Not really extreme distance just doves at about 75 max. Maybe a beer can at 100 to show the buddies it can do it. Thanks again fixen to order a wildcat,6-26x50 scope, mounts, pelletsand a new pump
Since every rifle will shoot pellets differently the only real way to see is test them out yourself. In my Wildcat in .25 caliber both the 25 grain and 33 grain JSB did well out to 50 plus yards. At 100 yards however I was getting 1 1/2 to 3" groups. Now with the Air Arms 25 grain pellets I was consistently getting groups around 1" at 100 yards. I will add at 50 yards the best groups I got was with the Benjamin pellets. I would say get a variety of pellets and test them at the maximum distance you intend to hunt and shoot. Bill
Thanks Bill! I just needed a good starting place. i have two other PCP's and they love the JSB"S just thought i would start their. I know some rifles like different ammo and will do some experimenting when i have more time. Thanks guys for responding! .
really they both shoot well and that's that its going to really come down too how much you wanna tune the gun for the grain your shooting mine shot both really well but its shooting th 33g really after I messed with the hammer tension a bit plus thre always pellet sorting and lubing it really just comes down to how much work you wanna do lol
Mi Wildcat is a horse. She can take either of those pellets. They do need a some TLC (sorting as mentioned above and the proper lube) and they will spit them out at the same spot I aim at every time. I here her little sister (22) is just as reliable.
