Tuning 2240 barrel change

Attached are some data for my 2240 upgrades. They show comparable speeds to what you've seen and what others are saying.

In all of them I'm shooting with a fresh CO2, with the same Crosman 14.3gr pellets. Note the times - I'm not waiting a long time between shots.

FWIW, my 2240XL now shoots at the same level as a box-stock 2260MB. I then make some adjustments to the 2260 and got another 100fps out of it. In the 2260 I also removed about 1/4" of thread from the valve interior.

I have a 2240XL that I converted into a 2250 with a 16" barrel. I have a larger transfer port and valve from alchemy

I had a 7" and 14" barrel in mine previously. If you can deal with the extra length the 16" is where its at. I think it was a 19" or longer that was cut down and crowned from alchemy. The stock crosman barrels only really likes crosman pellets (my guess is choke.) This 16" loves JSB variants and primiers. I have a Flashpup project and I keep going back to shoot this crosman, i really love it that much.

That cheap Hawke Vantage fixed 4x scope is hands down one of my best purchases for shooting EVER. I've won events with it on a 10/22, and it shoot lights out at home on a franken2240.

I snipe flies at 20 yards with it.
