Can anyone rank 22 PCP based on power, FPS or FPE?

I have owned several .22 PCP’s the .22 is ok out to 100 yards but the newer heavier JSB .25 and .30 caliber pellets are more accurate and carry more energy down range.
My FX Crown .25 shoots at 100 yards like my AW MCT .22 does at 50.

Typical PCPs in .22 range from about 22 To 33 FPE +/-  the real question is, what do you want to do with it? How far? How accurate?

Accuracy will trump power in this game most times.

Guns like the Impact and the Pulsar HP can push a .22 pellet from 40-50 FPE if you use the 25.39 or 34 gr.

I have a Stormrider, Mrod and Maximus, and I was wondering where they rank as far as power for 22 PCP’s

What speed are those guns lugging them pellets at?  I have shot them from my guns, but have not been able to chrony.

My Mrod is doing about 840 FPS with 14.3 grain pellets, Stormrider doing about 900-950 with same pellets, Maximus about 860 FPS

    Velocity*velocity*weight/420450 = FPE

For a few more days points in your comparison, I have .22 guns…a prod set to 14 FPE (14.3 g) and a Kral at 36 FPE (28.5 g)

On the Pulsar HP it can do

    .22 caliber

    34gr @ 820 FPS on high
    25.39 gr @ 950 FPS on high
    25.39gr @ 860 FPS on med
    18.1gr @ 930 FPS on low

    Wow that’s a powerful .22, slings the 34s faster than some .25s

My .22 Mrod with prototype SS valve hit 59fpe with the 34gr. If I open the ports even bigger I’d bet it would do even more. But I’m going to test the the 25.39 Redesigned monsters first before I change it. There finally on there way and will be here next week.

A Stormrider does about 870 FPS with a 15.9 JSB for about 26.73 FPE
