Shot this after work with my 97K and thought it was worth sharing. Pellets were the H&N Field Target Trophy 14.66gr in 5.54 head size at ~690fps from a seated deadman position.

She's been a good gun for me. I definitely recommend the Vortek kit. It's worth every penny in my book. I liked it so much that I actually bought one for a gun that hasn't even shipped from the factory yet.

Sqwrilfugger57 I have a few 97’s and a 77. These guns are all fairly new and deadly accurate.
Does the Vortex PG3 Steel kit make it easier to cock?

I have a 97 in .177 with 12 fpe Vortek kit. It's a sweet shooting rifle, very accurate. It's a great yard rifle, but I've been so spoiled by my PCPs, I seldom shoot it. Maybe I'll break it out for a session soon.

Yes it is! I liked it so much I just bought a second one in .177 and a 12ftlb Vortek kit for it. Should make for an excellent WFTF gun.

Thanks man. I just purchased another in .177 to tune for WFTF but I definitely plan on grabbing a .20 at some point too when in stock. I've heard amazing things about that gun and caliber. How picky is yours with pellets?

Everything is smoother with the PG3/PG4 kits and piston seals. I have a few friends with 97s also and when they tried mine out they ordered one for themselves pretty quickly.
