.22 FX Streamline valve leak

Trying to help out a buddy with .22 FX Streamline. We depressurized gun to fly as checked luggage on a plane. Now after refilling the gun, there is a slow leak (230 bar to 0 in ten minutes) that is through the firing valve. When I press my ear to the action I can hear the leak. We disassembled the gun, cleaned out and lightly lubed the valve assembly, and reassembled. Then did it again. Still no luck. I don’t think it could be the tiny oring at the end of the stem since that is on the low pressure side of the disc and seat. Any ideas??? Thanks!

Mike, I guess if you feel good about it not being the valve stem to seat seal what about the possibility of it leaking around the valve seat itself. There is a O-ring around the seat as well but you don't hear about them leaking like you do with some of the other popular spots. Have you tried soapy water to pinpoint exactly where the air is exiting from? Sounds like it should be exiting out the end of the barrel from what what your describing.

I’m not sure the Streamline has a removable valve seat? It doesn’t show on the print. I know most other FX have one, like my Bobcat and Crown. It’s probably the stem to seat seal but they both look really good... Air is coming out the barrel end.

I’ve successfully replaced the valve stem seat and spring in my Streamline and had it a part numerous times. Valve stem and seat will remove by unscrewing part #9. You will need a special sized pronged flat screwdriver tip (I filed one out of a old flat head screwdriver). Or a long pair of pointed tip needle nose pliers. They would ultimately fit part above (#9) it simply unscrews with the correct tool. I suggest replacing the valve seat and valve stem. Order from FX USA, shouldn’t be much $. It may just need to be removed, correctly seated, and then snugged back up to stop the leak. I replaced mine, had the same issue once. PM me for any questions. I know the Streamline well, I could help you troubleshoot and explain it much better.

Thanks. Part #9 unscrews with an Allen wrench. I think 2.5mm but not sure. Ok nice that piece comes out then spring and valve stem assembly. There is still s tapered metal disc remaining inside after pulling out the stem assembly. Does that part also come out like other FX airguns? Or is it a part of the breech block?
