I just finished shooting 10 shot groups out to 70 yards to establish the exact POI of my PCP combo. Out to 18 yards, the work was done indoors.
The outside groups maintained less than 1/2" integrity out to 40 yards. At 65 yards, in 12 mph wind, they still held to 2" with about 1 1/2" to 2" of drift. At 70 yards, they began to open up to about 3." The results would have undoubtedly been a little better without the breeze.
I have now completed this exercise with two of my four air guns and have absolutely concluded that the actual results vary considerably from the Chairgun tables. There is no substitute for investing the time with the equipment on the range.
