Hey guys. This little hand cannon suprised me. When filled to 250 bar. It holds nice groups all day long. Great little master blaster. Here is my full review of the AEA HP SS .457 MAX from The Pellet Shop. Thanks for watching! -Nate

Nope, I had to sneak up on my Bulldog to get where I wanted to be, about $1100 in it now after two years of incremental upgrades. Basically a Pitbull now, could have just bought it already finished.

But a lot of people are loving their AEA stuff, and most of the people I see on the forums are not having problems. Or if they are having problems, the issues are solved quickly. I also like that AEA is willing to send just the parts so that people who know which end of a screwdriver to hold can make the repairs without having to ship the entire thing back. And they still retain warranty.

Crosman offered this to me, Umarex not at all!

Still over priced Chinese junk. I don’t know what peoples fascination are with these things. The triggers suck, mags are junk, leaks, etc….. but I guess they are a niche for people, I guess not everybody has $2k-$3k to spend on a rifle

What do you mean by “junk”? Just curious. I’m looking at one, have it in my hands, doesn’t seem junky, but I am also not comparing it to a “luxury niche” $1500 airgun.

Some of the AEA were nothing special, but for the price, not bad at all. My .357 HP Max turned out to be a great gun, period. I'm not talking about the price either. The Max is nothing like the Challengers I had. It is better quality metal, better trigger, more accurate. I shoot $2000 guns and know when something is way above is price category, and the Max .357 is. Just because one line of a particular company is not great, does not mean they will not improve and make something better in the future.

I'm happy to hear that since I have a .357 Max sitting right here. Now I want to shoot it even more! Gotta wait it's turn though. I'm doing three 100 yard videos in a row next week. Too bad my Helix is more of a 50 yard scope. I'll figure it out. RAW / Cloud .30 / IBEX .25 / 100 yards

I'm looking at either this or the .357.. just gotta take a longer look at ammo prices to see where I land.

The .45 slugs are going to be more than .357 pellets for sure. ...actually, I don't know, I never buy slugs...I should.... Check out www.KRS-CS.com for all caliber slugs.

AEA's key to success. So many working people buy guns based on FPS and looks...when I was 25, I would go to Walmart and check the sports section for new airguns every week. (before PCP existed). When one came in that looked cool (like an assault rifle), I would buy it. I had no idea shooting pellets at 1200 FPS was not a good thing. Good times!

So, I'm new to this. I'm looking to get a nice big bore and I'm not sure where to start. What would you recommend for quality and reliability?

I watched your video before ever seeing this post.. pretty good video..

"So now, I'm pretty much a professional YouTuber" HAHAHA

I see you have yours for sale as well.. Hmmm...
I did the same and went with the .457 I wanted a hard hitter but not happy with those.50 cal. slug prices. The .45 seemed like a good balance of hitting hard and able to get a larger selection of ammo and at lower prices compared to a .50cal.

Airforce Texan, extreme big bore , etc
And even they have had their share of issues. If it's man-made there will be a problem at some point no matter how much the gun cost. This applies for real firearms as well. I see a lot more happy AEA owners then not.. But, like someone once said, if you go into it thinking you're going to get a $1500 experience from a several hundred dollar price tag you're not well informed and will be dissatisfied.

I’m not about to pay $800+ for something made in China with slave labor and kids building them, etc for Pennie’s on a dollar, Same as I will never buy a saber tactical or donnyfl product ever again, to each his own.. I will never buy another aea product ever again, had one and it was the biggest piece of garbage

Not sure if a 235 grain .50 slug is more expensive than a 235 grain .45 is. :)
Ofcourse if you buy the lightest .45 slugs vs the heaviest .50 slugs there is a price difference but else not so much.

From what I've price .50 slugs was always higher price. Of course the brand and or reseller you buy all play a part. What I've found is a .50 slug (ones I've come across) are at or very close to $1 a slug and the .457 (at least the ones I've bought) are around the $0.70 cent or less a slug (.457 240gr NSA slugs box of 50 I paid $0.6198 a slug and that's including shipping. Cheaper If I would have bought straight from NSA's website which I now do). It's all relative to a persons needs. So, you know what you want your gun to do take it from there.
