1st Outing with the AF Condor and Slugs

Got my Condor SS .22 cal set-up to shoot 27 grain NSA slugs at 910 fps with a 50 yard zero. The trigger in this Condor is not great compared to my FX's but I am getting used to it with more use. Managed to clip a few pigeons and get a couple in very changeable wind conditions. Bill

Nice real world shooting. I think you hit that one pretty hard and it flew . I have that happen more then I like. After shooting a while you learn to hear the whack sound. However on the concrete silo’s it’s hard to tell. No problem on metal. I find a body shot doesn’t always bring them down. Head or neck or wing will.

Up to this point I had been shooting pigeons with my Wildcat in .25 caliber with about 46 fpe. I believe at ranges out to say 80 yards it might be better at putting down the pigeons because of the larger caliber. I will have to see as time goes on if the .22 cal. slugs are as good at putting the pigeons down but they certainly will extend my range and lesson wind drift. Bill
