1st Gen Crown vs Last

Barrel - the new barrel kits are now what they're calling a 2-piece design. I was skeptical of this at first, but I can't see going back to the previous design! This new form factor is VERY easy to disassemble / clean, and it saves a ton of weight. It's affixed from the side via 4 set screws also. No need to remove your scope to clean the barrel!

Gauges - these new gauges work flawless AFAICT.

I'm not sure if the adjustable TP was on the 2017 vintage, but these have them.

I had a chance to reexamine the gun and it's not the model you describe. It must be the model just preceding yours.

Hmm, that rifle probably has a 2nd gen regulator. I believe that the gen 3 regs were introduced in early Spring 2018 starting somewhere with serials 183xxx.

I also have the Crown that I got from @Bob_O, serial is 184xxx and I believe that it's from late 2018. I think all of the new Crowns with the Pic rails start with 190xxx FWIW

…Generation 3 Impact X's (after Serial Number 183534) have the long (16mm) piston and large (10mm) housing (These are called AMP regulators)

Generation 2 Crowns (after Serial Number 180760) had the long (16mm) piston and the large (10mm) housing (These are called AMP regulators)…

The AMP regulators are able to be adjusted down without releasing pressure, but it is still recommended to fire at least 1 shot every 1/4 turn while adjusting down, to ensure nothing goes wrong.

Just a little add info from FX to help wade through the different versions.

I've noticed some small changes here and there. Like the cocking lever pin hole being in a slightly different spot. The TP wheel appears to have some differences as well on the new one. There seem to be quite a few small tweaks here and there that weren't mentioned. These new barrels also seem to shoot damn near any type of pellet I put in them extremely well. Even pellets that wont shoot worth a damn in anything else.

Also curious if there's more internal volume on these. Or maybe more port on the valve seat. I still havn't upped the reg pressure from 130 bar. And I can get pellets moving almost 1100 fps thru the 700mm barrel. (22 cal)
