.177 nsa 15.5 slugs

I have some left over from testing with a Daystate Huntsman Regal XL, pm me your address if you'd like them.

Didn't shoot well from the Regal, which wasn't much of a surprise... like shutik, they were low 700's velocity, & no (easy) way to increase on the Regal. I'm guessing the barrel twist rate is also too slow for such a long projectile.

No fault of the slugs, they're clearly high quality. Just not a good match for my rifle, but they may be for yours.

Alright guys I got the slugs today so let me report back a little. I didn’t have much time to shoot them today and the wind has been blowing a bit as well. But I did a group at 40 yards and here it is. The first shot was the high one so maybe the barrel changing to the new bullets a little cause the rest did well minus the wind. The chrono showed the highest at 806 and a low of 797 for six shots. I also shot one into a water bottle to see if any expansion happened at that low of a velocity. I will do some more shooting at 75 and 100 but I wanted to wait for a little calmer day. Thanks again bbstacker for sending them for me to test, they seem to be very stable in my setup. I can kind of see them in flight through the scope for a bit and the look very to be flying straight .

In the wind it definitely doesn’t drift as bad. The wind just keeps blowing lately so not ideal conditions to shoot in but I couldn’t wait any longer so I shot 2 4 shot groups at 100. I am almost positive you could do better with better conditions, but I am plenty happy with what I see. Not sure if the vertical stringing is something to do with the wind or adjusting the velocity, either way I can work that out but ease of shooting longer shots and how they perform on animals is great. The gun could be turned up a ways more too. Either way I say they are a good choice for a marauder.

Sorry I should have specified that it was Dairyboy I was talking to, sorry Makoda.

Regardless you should be able to get the 18g fast enough in the Marauder to stabilize it. The heavier two rounds gain weight by gaining length so in theory would need to be spun a bit faster or pushed faster or both? It may be worth a try. I can part with 25 of each if you are willing to test them with the gun shooting wide open. Have you tried shooting it without the silencer? Your groups may, or may not close up a bit.
