Now @ 232 Yards Sub 12 ft .177.... How Far Can This Be Pushed Out!!!??

Just a side note peeps, What I do is shoot thru the full wind range then I can see what's what in holds.... then it's game on!
So the last two Jsb's were the upper middle target as I was running out of time and the temperature was dropping as my MOA, So being the 8.4's wang out there faster and if the heat aspect has bearing? But being less mass would dissipate the heat quicker but air friction may bring it back up umm food for thought? Another rabbit hole that one... Speaking of MOA..Those 3 shots makes it sub MOA @ 168 Yards?

Bully bonus! Ha ha...This mission is a group one, See how far with consistency...Plus testing. So nice dude I love it, When we got the big boys out last time we got attacked by bees up at the range they don't like that shock wave and there loud even moderated...Not a fun day but funny to see Tom run like a sissy girl!... had 4 stings on my arm which brought the not fun back quickly! Ha ha

Well folks another fantastic day, Chipper and I hit the field again....This time re-zero at 75 yards on the mounts and ding plate @ 100 yards, Point of aim the drill holes were I stuff Hillt Gun charges in (Great fun) main target set out at 180 yards this time....55 MOA on the turret and held over 10 MOA same hold sighter target the middle one between the two react targets. So green stars are for these shots...Air Arms 8.4 washed and sized not weighed. So looking at these impacts they are really clean no key holing at all...Very interesting...Tells me there is something going on out there....Alas we ran out of light, But looks like I can get more out of this .177 me thinks!

So peeps, just too make sure this is before we move on out again. Red stars are for this session...I wonder what the dot to dot picture will look like by the end! Ha ha. Same Air arms 8.4 with 55 MOA plus 10 hold over...Got to give the fly a go! Cracking two shots but no biscuit!

Ok first off I will ask to have this put into the long range section as I'm not sure it fits in this BR section? You tell me!?
Secondly...Wow...215 and as you can see not thin cardboard and clean thru! So the black and orange react target are 3" the board width is 11.5" x 57.8" I didn't shoot for a group just to get on it. But a six shot group was formed...5am I got off the field..Buzzing and crunched some data..Very cool stuff too!
So this one may tickle ya long range fancy!?
Whilst on my .177 quest gathering data and all that good stuff..Some great findings have been coming to light with this .177 space dust projectile...The more I go out the more it seems to like it....Both of us that is! Lol...So being more step up and walking back and to....My little legs can still do the march which is good to know! Lol I just set up the boards with no wind but a wee flutter, so no flags set out and prone in the hide...
So part of this low power antic's is, Drop and flight time....My sub 12 100 yard shots in no winds are 35.5 inch drop with a flight time of 0.45s.......The old Remington 700 .308 168 grain 355 yard shot is 35.4 inch drop with a flight time of 0.45s....My 215 yard (just done and super stoked) 252 inch drop 1 min 30s flight time...The old Remington 700 .308 168 grain 775 yard shot is 253.8 inch drop and 1 min 28s flight time.....Super cool stuff...I did a 20 shot string after but not during as I didn't need the frustration of it not pairing up and all that jazz. So obversely always keeping with our restrictions in mind I try and run on the clean edge...But I have a little wiggle room left, A tune the other day was better with up to 4 shot the same velocity's every other two shots or something like that. 1.7 and 4.0 which is what ya want and being just standard uk spec she's running sweet..Not as sweet as my ZX10! Lol I shot some vid but super pants quality I will try and lighten it up to see the impacts as they came in low. But good sound and you can hear the faint traffic in the back ground. But good thwacks so this little monkey has still got some to give!

The 215 Yard mark has landed with a good thwack....This little space dust .177 went clean thru..So more can be ringed out this little monkey...Real pants footage so made some home made react boards to do the re-shoot....But 215 sub 12....11.5" wide boards...ha another challenge in a challenge...So in all going thru the poop footage...32 shots on target and counting!!!

Well folks, The home made react targets worked a treat!! Re-shot the 215...Well I thought it was..248 it turned out! Had a few goes of course.... and spotted pick up!!!! But wanting to re-shot the 215 I walked it back in....214..Close enough!! Just going thru the footage!!! You can see the shots this time! ha ha Donny D I can see!!! Need to get a scope cam me thinks! This is super cool stuff..But were there is a ying there must be a yang...I think a Hawk took Chipper whilst I was down range...I got back and she was gone, Two crows were chasing it but no sign. Real shame as it's 91 days today! Go see in the morning...The wheel of life..Best the Hawk than a poop cat!!!!

Super cool news on the .177 how far front...Alas only another yard was stuck on, So out at 216 yards....But whilst on a low power slug mission and collecting range lead, I found .177 pellets out at 232 yards!!!! Game on then!! But i've well and truly fallen down this new rabbit hole...Incredible....I was always told slugs in the garden was bad news....I'm not seeing it with this nice ZAN 23 grain 127 yard group!

Super cool stuff guys!! The 232 yard .177 pellets have landed safe and well on target!!! So cool...The snow came in and stopped play! real shame...Re-shoot and some groups me thinks!
