Stig, in the winter I shoot my .177 Royal at over 100 yards often. You can see the holes appear in the snow clumps. I’m always amazed at how accurate it can be. The aim point is something much higher than where the pellets are landing. I’ll shoot as carefully as I can at the same aim point and then look at the group in the snow clumps. Like launching mortars lol. Once you get dialed in it’s remarkable how good you can do. You are definitely doing really good with sub 12lb, nine job.

Thanks Dave, Appreciate feed back bro...I do feel at times WTF am I doing....But when you make that shot, Thats why! Super cool fun I think, If you can get out in a field with good dust pick up Dave that works well. Really amazing mate absolutely loving it...But super cool frustrating fun, I've been back out today to pick up from last night, But did another tweak and a 60 yard zero to try and get more turret evaluation...8 MOA, But puts me more on optical centre than before. But alas when the temp drops so does my MOA, Like off a cliff. So always best to call it and gather your data.

Hi James, Thanks bro good of you to say! Pellets all the way, Low bc low power huge fun! Lol I have spat a couple of slugs, But pointless with my power really, However a chap I met the other day is making his our slugs to order so I may get my head together with him. But for this bag of fun I have been testing Air arms 8.4 gr and JSB 10.4 The AA 8.4 I can wang out there much faster but will de stabilise a lot quicker than the JSB but there is always way off's with this low power fun. But there is only so much you can do as the variables are so great with this. Which is making it so addictive at the moment. I can tell you only some of my set up at the mo as a chunk of stuff is R&D.

So as it stands, Top down folks....Apologies too I am new to forums and the etiquettes. (Just jump in) Lol

Element Titan with EHR 2d 5 - 25 mounted on Eagle Vision cam adjustable mounts(no other way really without going thru tin upon tin finding those environment holds) One off the shelf FX Impact mk2 (second hand) but sub 12 uk spec reg set and fixed at 50 bar. But Stig tuned Lol...My hot shots are 12.4, One very long quest has been to get that so tight but not be over the limit but have really good ES and SD and the projectile to like it.....and man it's been a long long road...But anything is possible in my book. ES 7.0 and SD 1.8 is about the best I can do so far? So she's sat on a Accu-tech G2 Bi pod...You really need to be so planted for this kind of fun!!! Back and front end is all R&D but soon to be released now I'm on the thinner end of this wedge. But I keep coming up with new concepts!!! Funny as....Every pellet is washed sized 4.52 and sorted (with a little whisper in that pellet ear) Lol Then some of the variables are taken out the mix something i've always done but you do have to split at least 4 tins for a good shoot. So, good shoot brings me back on track nicely, Shot count is incredible....Still collating that data. I will pass all that stuff too. But the sad thing I will need to press the reset button and see if what I have done is doing the business, I think it is but it must be constant which it's starting to be...Shooting clean cards at 150 with this power is bending my head a bit. But loving it!!!!

Thanks bro, Sounding like she is really liking this spot, You know when you get that crack? Just the right amount of air and balance between hammer and valve. Super sweet spot, But as always the wind and environments play there wicked tricks on you with low power, Like hitting a cold pocket of air. Huge effect out at range..... Lead is like gold in a river, very lazy...If it has any opportunity to drop out it will, Air is fluid and a like a river with currents and eddy's so you are always far better off picking a nice consent. Early morning and evening is good for the air density and wind.

Even seeing them hit at those distances is hard for me lol.

I hand it to you for pushing the little.177's.& looking forward to hearing more.

Super hot weather bringing in some tricky switching and thermal winds, But some real nice consistent shots coming together, I stopped as I didn't want to mess up the cleanest 150 cards so far....I have a few I want to grab a bit more data on the projectile impact side of things. But wow 150 is getting tighter...How far will this group too? But keep in the 150 for now as it needs to be consistent. But some funny frustrating shots....I kept shooting the target clip!! Ha ha Good group tho! Ha ha

Those are amazing groups !!! I've heard a .177 is more accurate at those distances because it has less mass, hence less loss of inertia,

So, what is more accurate at 50-150 yards, a .177 or .22 ? It's really nice to see that .177's are alive and well. Everyone wants to go bigger and bigger these days, and at what point does it end ? I like the .177's a lot, but have been on a .22 trip lately because I'm still experimenting. My Hatsan AT-44 .177 seems unstoppable. It's so accurate and fun.

Thank you bro, Yeah I love it..Being the world record for this power is 150 it's way cool shooting groups under 2" plus low power gives me so many more shots too, I know, I think it's more like space dust..Just keeps on going..Ha ha.How far is what I want to know? I would say .177 as she fires out flat beyond 65 yards. I've been hearing great reports on the Hatsan, The barrels like any projectile by all counts?

So after 45 days of hand rearing this little scamstar, Bertie and I got back on this deep rabbit hole...How far will a sub 12 .177 go out...Well peeps we cracked the 160 today...Well kind of...Ran out of ammo as we had to do a re-zero at 60 yards shoot some fly's plus having far too much fun out at 100 on the A4 ding plate left us with loose change in lead....With a quick re-spray and a new 3" target we had a few shots on it thru the heat haze....Real shame but two dings was good enough start back!

Thanks dude...Not over yet!!! Today chipper and I hit the field again..Well you know you have just got to scratch that itch..We hit the workshop this morning to fashion a better taller target stand for this long long range antics..In true form up-cycled from dry wall edging and old F1 Bodywork stands...With a typo target taped to it....With extra wind ref when the corner came unstuck..Bonus. So after hanging for a big box of my preferred lead which landed just as we were leaving...The gods were on our side.. Alas only the JSB's 10.4's got the full treatment of washed sized and weighed and the Air Arms 8.4's got washed and a sun dry...The itch was too great. Lol...

So as I got two good impacts on 160 yards yesterday we went for 170 today....But when we got dug in and a quick re-range it was168 yards...Keep pushing out is the agenda after all so that's close enough. With a good plan and dope from yesterday we went into the night for some 100 yard night plinking...Such a cool day...Like way cool this is...So after much walking up and down putting green dots for the JSB's and orange for AA's(just washed) a very good picture was forming...Not quite dot to dot. Lol. But wow. So after the re-zero @ 60 on the scope mounts I put in 60 MOA and held over 7 for the JSB's and 4 MOA for the AA's 8.4's, The conditions were perfect right into the night. So the results from this epic day. 4 shots at 0.49 inch and the 5th put it around 1.345" group out at 168 yards...Mega, And many of the impacts were not key-holed....Keep pushing out then!
