What an exotic quarry! Sounds like they are definitely at pest levels. Probably very hard on ground nesting birds.

Here are some of the lizards removed from the island. Will check some of the short phone videos for quality then include. Not much time for camera play in the tropics. The Kalibr gun is .22 shooting 18gr JSB at 900 FPS. My Bobcat is .25 mk1 shooting 33.9 gr jsb mk2 at 832 FPS. Nothing like the long range accuracy of today's PCP's. Our cull is at 150 this trip.

puertorico and Monkyshine. Do you both live there? I have 3 brothers and we hunt together. This last year 2 of them have gotten into airguns with me. We are always looking for a good adventure and this sounds like a blast. What is the best time of year to come and shoot these Iguanas? Is there anyone there taking out groups that could show us the ropes? Thanks for the help. Sylvan

Jim Chapman went on an iguana shoot maybe sponsored by Hatsan air rifles, but there may be some info on the video for people on the island that will guide you. My contacts are friends that work jobs and no spare time to guide. Maybe a post for help on the subject.

I would also like to tell you fellows that in states your air rifle will be treated as firearms at departure so those rules apply, entry into PR has more stringent rules in that police will be called at your arrival and you will be questioned concerning your ID and reason for rifle, also your info will be taken from passport even though you do not need one. I have made this trip three times and each time treated differently. You guys want more info PM me and we can talk. This is great hunting (pest contol) as it gets.
