I'm raising the same question but for the old Feinwerkbau co2-pistols, like the C25.
I've been interested in those for a long time but I don't want the hassle of bulk filling.

I was hoping some machining genius would have figured out how to make a few and sell them. I agree with you the project is not $$$ justifiable.
I happened upon a like new LP-5 and have a 5 lb CO2 cylinder to charge it at home. When we move to Arizona for the winter months it would have been very convenient to have the capability of using the 12 g CO2 cartridges. In all probability I will not drag that 5 lb tanke with me to AZ.
i toyed with the conversion of the LP-5 to air but the cost dissuaded me from proceeding I that direction. The Steyr factory wanted ca 200 euro but they would not accept shipment from an individual and the US importer quoted $900 for the conversion which made it economically impractical. At the 200 to 300 euro level I would have proceeded with the conversion to air.

many thanks for the information. I did not realize that these units were available. I will see what can be done when I arrive in Phoenix.
Do you shoot at the Rio Salado range? I shoot the air BR, FT and silhouette matches when I am in AZ.

The Rio Salado Sportsmans Club in Mesa, AZ is a shooters paradise. You can look up the clubs activities at www.rsscaz.com. There is also a fantastic shooting facility, the Ben Avery shooting range, just north of Phoenix near Carefree.
We have rented in Fountain Hills for the past eight years and I shoot at both facilities.
