Took another one at 23 yards, but the pic won't upload. Keep getting a "picture ID error" message??? Weird.

Great shot!

How quiet is that rig? I have a Benjamin Fortitude Gen2 and it is fairly quiet even without a moderator.

Thanks for posting!

p.s.

Keep trying to upload the other pic. The site has had a few hiccups lately and should allow you to upload eventually. I had the same problem with my last post, but eventually was able to upload all of my pics.

Backstop, qball and L.Leon,

Thanks, and yes it is fun! It's a little loud with the (small)db moderator that it came with. The Hugget Astille(or a DonnyFL Tanto) quiets it down nicely. Being a small gun, I've found it's a little bit hold sensitive and low power forces you to be more precise with the shots. I doubt I would try a shot(on a squirrel or pigeon) more than about 40 yards.

12 ft lb pesting with a 3k$+ rig why lol .. literally a 170$ diana bandit pistol hits harder and is dead accurate to 40y ... im just trying to wrap my head around it, nice nutter takeout btw ...

Why do some folks buy a Cadillac when a Kia will do the same thing?? To each his own....why do I shoot a .177 TX200 when my Henry rimfire will shoot even farther??? To each his own!!!!

Why the LOL? And not just a simple compliment? People buy what they like and can afford...

because dizzums like making douchy comments at people all the time so they feel bad about about enjoying shooting. Man @dizzums you post some good stuff from time to time, but your daily commentary is beyond condescending and rude.

Congratulations on a nice shot and a nice gun. I do not have a 177 PCP, yet, but I happen to have taken a squirrel with my 25 caliber P35 with an almost identical shot on Wednesday. I did not range it but the distance was similar. The 20 grain FTT hit closer to the jaw than the eye and exited on the other side in front of the ear. Mine was about 40 feet up and moved only a step or two and dropped, stone dead. Did your move significantly after the shot?

Ranchibi and Mike,

Thanks!

Dave,

Thanks, and yes it is quiet with the Astille on it. With the small db that it comes with, not so much.

JimD,

That squirrel dropped straight down like a stone when I shot him off of the limb. Laid motionless for a couple of seconds, then did the classic "headshot flipping" for 5 or 10 seconds, then went still permanently. He was nice enough to pose for a picture as well😜

Regards,

Phil

I have a Ranger in .22 and it is a lot of fun to shoot. Currently have it set up on low power with 15 grain JSB and a ATN scope to take care of a backyard rat problem. Will put a MTC 3-12 Viper Connect on it.

Only issue is the folding stock does not fold easily. Was able to fold up a few times without the scope attached but would probably bash the scope now trying to fold it.

PeterJC,

I know what you mean about the folding stock. It could have been done MUCH better. I have found that if you grab the extending part with one hand and the receiver or pistol grip with the other, then jiggle it like you are shaking hands with it, it pops free easiest. But DAMN Brocock, why can't we just push a button to unlock it???

Geojorjika,

At 12 ft/lbs, I get 3 magazines(39 shots) before POI starts to drop.
