12fpe Leshiy kit

As you found out already you will have to cut the valve and I would recommend you get an extra one before cutting, the length has to be precise, too short and it gets stuck, too long at it will bottom out, I cut it to 29.1 mm and gave it a small chamfer

My plan is to swap back and forth between the 12fpe and Edgun reg. Well maybe. I want the 12fpe reg to shoot hades in the 650-700fps range not sure yet just depends what works best for me. That's with my 250mm .22 barrel. Then wanna get a 350mm .22 barrel for JSB 18gr around 800fps which I'll use the Edgun reg for. Then should be covered from 5-100yds with one gun

Another possibility is that you can use one regulator & regulator setting & get your 12 FPE to ~25 FPE range with barrel & caliber swaps along with HST adjustment.

I'm in the process of moving & getting a house ready for sale so I don't have any notes handy but I believe this is very doable.

Mine might be pretty close to this now. If I have time I'll chronograph some shots with both 177 & 22 cal barrels.

I also have the Huma 12fpe regulator kit. There's not that much info out there besides Wingman's (AirBorne Arms) YouTube video. I did get 2 valves, one to cut and the other in case I messed up. The only issue I'm having is with the Huma 12fpe hammer spring that comes with. It's a couple coils too long compared to the factory hammer spring and I'm wondering if I should cut it. It would like to get a spare first just in case.

The hammer spring on the top is from the Huma 12fpe kit. The bottom hammer spring is the factory spring.

When I install the 12fpe HS, the hammer sticks out of the breach face about the same length because of the longer coils. After installing it, I noticed that it chipped some of the anodizing around the valve pin area.

Hopefully I didn't cut it too short.

I have a sub-12 hammer spring installed and also have an extra sub-12 spring. I just compared it to the original hammer spring that I pulled out of my Leshiy and the sub-12 spring is longer.

I vaguely remember noticing this back then but am not sure if was as significant as the two I just looked at. It probably was but I went forth with installing it.

What I do not recall is if the hammer protruded with the original hammer spring. It certainly protrudes now.

However, I do not have any chipping around the valve area like your pictures show.

Based on your picture I probably cut the plastic end of the poppet a bit longer than yours. Not sure if yours is too short or not.

The hammer sits flush with the breach face when the factory hammer spring is installed and when it is decocked. I wonder what effect it has with that much over travel of the hammer after the shot cycle. In regards to the valve, I feel that I cut the poppet too short for my liking. I'll cut up another one to be on the safe side.

You can get 12fpe from the stock setup as well. I've been shooting H&N 8.64 .177 pellets at 800 fps and lower and it works fine with a reg set at 130bar. I guess you could even lower with 12fpe kit.

+1 especially if you want to go back and fourth with major power adjustment rather than having to reverse everything again somethings bound to give trouble swapping regs and valve back and fourth like that.

Hopefully I didn't cut it too short.

I think you did but it may not be a problem, if you chamfer it more the spring may guide the valve through the hole, but over time the valve seat will make an imprint in the valve and that will reduce the length a bit

about the hammer spring, the one supplied with my set measure 63 mm, it's mostly made for the very low settings so I did not change it as I stay in the 110 bar range
