Just ramping up for this ongoing challenge. First two cards shot tonight using my Daisy Avanti 853 at 10m/32.5 ft indoors using the Daisy diopter sights. First card shot with Crosman Premier Wadcutters in .177 at 7.4 gr, second card shot with AA Diabolo Field .177 8.4 gr. Gun was actually sighted in with the CPWs but I'm not steady enough to worry about a little bias using the 8.4 diabolos yet. Ended up with a 246 by my best analysis. Plan to keep up the discipline though I may rotate in my Beeman AR2078a CO2 in .22 once this bad cold snap is over here in Indiana.

Thanks Chas and good shooting guys. Had I the time to shoot a third card I think I would have been able to get another 190+. Shooting 50' smallbore on friday nights seems to be helping.

Very good shooting John. A lot of improvement. If you are still shooting outside, I would give you 10 bonus points for dealing with the wind.

How many of these groups were shot with open sights?

The target was not made for iron sights. Almost all of us shoot with scopes. Most of us use this for off season practice for field target.

Well, that's an eye-opener! All I could see through my diopter was a fuzzy blotch for each target. Scope it is!
