Ok....not really. How about 95?

I had some rare air last evening when testing a rifle. Wind was topping out at about 3mph. 55y was the distance.

This was a 12 fpe rifle shooting JSB 8.44 out of the tin at 785. Most hold offs were on the left edge of the target box...some a little more, some a little less. A few in the center. All shots from the sitting FT position. The first 75 were fully under a dime...but I kept going.

Im normally pretty happy to get 50 inside the big outer ring which is about 1 9/16” with a 12 fpe gun. If you don’t shoot 12 fpe, you may not know how much the pellet moves in the slightest current. Just heat rising from the ground will lift the pellet at 25m. It’s a pretty big challenge to get nice large number groups at 55y from position. It was one of those days where it was all working pretty well.

Thanks, guys. If the wind was not so cooperative, it wouldn’t have happened.

Scott, practice never hurts...but it doesn’t help with my nerves at a match. That is my Achilles heel. Specifically, just the offhand lane. I don’t get nervous on any other lane. I would never miss any of the offhand shots on a typical course if I was at home with no pressure...but I can easily throw them away at a match if I get myself worked up. It’s something that I don’t really even know how to work on. Maybe just time?

Mr WFTF Champ William....you seem to do just fine....lol. You have nerves of steel apparently. 😀
