I am trying to decide on a pellet gun that I want to serve 2 purposes.
1. rid the yard of invasive pests.
2. shoot 10 meters at my club in a shoot what you got set up. Here there will be anything from $100 CMP guns to $2500 dedicated 10 meter guns and we allow scopes.
So, my question is, at 10 meters how much more accurate is something like an FWB 800 or a T200 or an S400 compared to a Marauder F/T or a Gauntlet?
Thanks
Do you want to use a scope or aperture/peep sights?
Any power limits?
Will it shooting from a bench, or positions?
- If shooting standing/sitting/kneeling/prone. I'd venture to say that the shooter (not the gun) will be the biggest limiting factor.
How much do YOU want to spend?
- If $ is of no (or little) concern, my vote would go toward a Steyr LG110
- Takes 2 minutes to go from 7.5J (10M target velocity) to 16J (pesting velocity)
- Can easily be used with peep sight or scope
- Good shot count
